This video provides basic information about ship's measures and dimensions which consist of a group of terms and definitions specifically developed for calculating her proportions as well as defining her characteristics.
I would think that more men in the U.S. would be interested in a career in designing, building, maintaining, and being mechanics on these huge engines. Seems as if guys are obsessed with the diesel engines in pickup trucks which are 1000s of times smaller than these ship engines. If it's power and size that one desires, then it doesn't get any bigger or stronger than these 2 stroke diesel marine engines.

Mister Marotta can you please tell me how can i mix cargo in a bulk carrier? I mean loading coal for example with grain on different cargo holds but at the same voyage? Thank you very much sir.
If you count with suitable cargo handling equipment to carry out that operation is no a problem... Let's say some grabs along with a conveyor belts for coal and some pneumatic suction hoses for the grain and some hoppers as well.
