The Paranormal Exposition is measured by %1 to 99%, when a person dies in a place with a "fragile membrane" (place with a lot of paranormal activity) she becomes a monster, normally a blood zombie. But the more paranormal exposition you have, you will become a stronger monster if you die in a place like this. The monster that a person turns into also depends on various concepts of what the person was, such as paranormal elements: Death, Knowledge, Blood, Energy and Fear. Death - the spiral element, represents the time and perspective of time and the fear of death and the end of all the things. "all things must come to an end." Knowledge - the element of sigils, represents the fear of unknown things and of discovering. "To know everything is to lose everything." Blood - the element of blood. represents the fear of intense feelings, violence, passion, hatred. "everything starts with blood." Energy - the element of chaos. represents the probabilities, the technology, the change. "the chaos is inevitable" Btw, the universe of Ordem Paranormal is huge, besides you don't need to understand the lore to enjoy the game. But if you understand the lore, many things become even more exciting. All fans were waiting for this game to understand more and theorize about the element of Fear, and probably the origin of paranormal.

@@phantomgamer4463 There was a follow up to Defiance, but it never got off the ground. One of the things that was proposed was for Raziel to return, that he could be summoned from the sword or something, but that was vetoed. Raziel's journey was finished and him coming back in any way could cheapen the weight of that sacrifice.

@@gilgamesh310 Amy Hennig created Raziel and the graphic novel is about Raziel. That's why I'm not picking it up. Might do later down the line but right now not really interested. I did say Kain is still a vampire, he's going to eat, and if he has to kill a bunch of people to get what he needs, he will. Viewing humans as cattle was always more Vorador's perspective, but he really resented humanity. I think the decimation of the human populace from Kain's empire is more a consequence than something done with a focused intent. Vampires feed on humans and his empire has a lot of vampires. And I don't think they were really all that into conservationism. Still, if we go by the cut content from soul reaver, there were vampire worshipping cults in the empire, who willingly gave themselves and others over to the vampires. There's also the state of the world to consider, with the pillars toppled the world became a barren rock, which means humanity could also have died out from a lack of resources. He's not a hero in the traditional sense, more an antihero, though leaning heavily towards villain at times. It's actually the point of the entire series and Nosgoth as a whole, that no character is truly evil or wholly good. But he is, I feel, more heroic than Raziel, as Hennig said. It's unfortunate the human citadel in SR1 was cut from the main story, and a whole lot of people never found it because of this. That place gives a little more nuance to Raziel in terms of his soul feeding, since he can take a sip of souls without killing the humans. So I think most players never saw this merciful feeding of his. It's a shame really.

@thelawfulgeek He probably is more heroic than Raziel. Raziel would have been Kain's too lieutenant when they decimated the human race, yet he felt the need to act like a self righteous hypocrite, where as Kain is more upfront about what he did.

@@Duprizus and that's fine. It's a matter of opinion. It'd be boring if we all agreed on the same things. To be fair, I didn't feel this way when I first played it many many years ago. But replaying for the purpose of a retrospective, it's how I felt. I was very aware that most people wouldn't agree with me. And again, that's fine.

@@Duprizus I do agree with you, Jedi Academy is a great addition to the series. I do agree that the story is a bit thin but that doesn’t detract much from the gameplay.

I first played this when I was 12 and even as a child the vapidness of the "sidemissions", as you call them, stood out to me. This is beyond delusional. I also could not really find that rambling you are rambling about, but maybe that´s just your need to lash out at someone critizising something you are delusional about. Just a guess.

I always default to the Kel'Dor Jaden, myself. And it's a fun game, but of all the Jedi Knight entries I feel it's the weakest, story-wise, even if in terms of gameplay it's overall more refined than Jedi Outcast

Yea I love it as well. And I enjoy that each mission is basically its own game.

@@streamdungeon5166 my favourite mission will forever be the Jedi Tomb, because the reborn love to jump over gaps and leave themselves open to force push into the abyss. It never fails to crack me up

I am not entirely convinced that the Graphic novel is canon, if only because Amy Hennig is not involved. If she's not involved, this is just fanfiction that Crystal Dynamics supports. But then again, I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to this series. I'll admit that. But awesome news on the Evercade release. The more people who play these games, the better!

@@JoseMartinez-bh1ng The prophecy is about the Scion of Balance returning the pillars to Vampire Rule. Kain is purified if his corruption by the purified Wraith Blade, meaning he can once again serve as the Guardian of Balance. That in part fulfils the prophecy. Him being able to interact with the Elder God is from the power of the reaver imbued with the spirit forge. That he has to take out the Elder God as part of his job is something the ancient vampires wouldn't know about. In fact, if you take Mobius as an example, his worshippers know very little about what exactly it is they're praying to.
