Canada
Приєднався 27 лют 2017
We are Mike and Michelle from Ontario, Canada and are documenting our travels with our two daughters. We are Passionate about the outdoors and are hoping to share this passion with our children. RVing, Kayaking, and Travel are what you'll find here.
Sunshine Coast RV trip - Ontario (Heading Home)
Spent some time along Lake Superior which we absolutely love and are always happy to visit again. The hwy was closed for quite a few hours so we ended up spending the night in Marathon. We always have a hard time when our RV trips come to an end. If you listen closely to the end of the video you can even hear Mike talking about needing to start our outdoor chores. There's no place to home, but it always means we are back to reality.

Sunshine Coast RV trip - heading home through ALBERTA & the PRAIRIES

It's a long way home so we had to start making some miles so here is where we stopped in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Mike kayaked in Calgary on the Bow River at Harvie's Passage and then we had a visit at my Uncle Lee's in Saskatchewan followed by a few hot pool days.

A fun visit with our friend Courtenay in Victoria and Sydney, BC.
Sunshine Coast RV trip - Nairn Falls, Parksville and Tofino
Переглядів 2004 місяці тому
Nairn Falls was a really fun swimming spot, Parskville had so much fun for the kids and Tofino was a surfing and beach destination that we hope to go back to someday but maybe without the RV. We found RVing in Tofino pretty difficult as parking was limited and overnight parking was not an option. We lucked out and managed to get a campsite for a night at Pacific Rim National Park.

We really enjoyed the short but beautiful hiking trails within Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The views were stunning and the town of Medora is one of our favourite U.S towns.
Sunshine Coast RV trip - North Dakota
Переглядів 2409 місяців тому
Traveling through North Dakota we found a fun alien themed restaurant for the kids, a park with planet exploration and a medicine wheel all made from rocks, and we spent some time at the National Buffalo Museum. North Dakota was one of our favourite states and this was just the beginning of the fun.

Thanks for the kind words
@@MandMtravel83 seriously! your channel is so monetizable (new word?). Keep up the great vlogs & family time!
I explored southern Labrador back in the early 90s from Blanc Sablon to Red Bay, which was the end of the paved road back then. Had to stay an extra day because a windstorm grounded the ferry. But it was a cool place with very kind people. Wouldn't mind going back again.
Wow, you guys had an amazing trip with so many great things to see and explore! Coming home along Lake Superior is the way to go as the towns are great and some beautiful places to stop. Too bad this series has come to an end but looking forward to see which area you guys are going to explore next year! 😜
Thanks for following along. Glad you enjoyed this series. It was a fun trip. We are a year behind posting …. Will be posting this past summers trip soon.
I missed your videos. Welcome back! or was UA-cam hiding you?
@@mikerattee56 thank you! No we have been really slow at making our videos. Work is extra busy so finding the time to edit in the evenings is hard. We have one more from last summers trip (Sunshine Coast) and we will start working on this past summers trip (pei and isle de Madeleine ). Thanks for watching! 😊
@MandMtravel83 I am looking forward to your pei video ince I went there last year. Isle de Madeleine is still on my bucket list.
Gorgeous scenery.
Nice video can’t wait to watch it
What Beach was the sea Glass found on
👍👍👍
Nice 1k
Granted it was an experience……
Seems very expensive just to do the highway…I’d rather stay on Newfoundland highway and go to the small harbours and towns along the way….a motorcycle tour might be more feasible…also spending $$$$ on a week or two at Terra Nova Nat’l Park!
Hello there! I really enjoyed your video, but I noticed it’s lacking proper SEO. Missing tags, keywords, and a low SEO score can limit your growth. I can help you improve this and boost your channel’s performance. Let’s schedule a chat to talk about how I can assist you!
2k a night??!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO WAY!! hahahahahahahahah!! NEVER! Tell the owner to go back to Silicon Valley.
Can you tell the company from where you rented the RV please ?
We didn’t rent it. We bought it used from RV Canada
Awesome vid thx for sharing 😁
love your vids. wish they were longer
I miss the Rock. thanks for showing it.
These outdoor sights are incredible
It’s a magical place
my old home - great to see your vlog!
I noticed your bison earrings! 👍🏻 I am a New Englander who attended the University of North Dakota. I miss it so much. Great video.
There's no Mile Point 420 on the Labrador Highway because the dopers kept stealing them.
He Mrs kobzik hehe it's Delaney
Wow those waves are amazing and such a cool phenomena with the tide changing! Sounds like a bucket list item to check of your list.... 😜
@@robvandertogt7592 it’s a magical spot for sure. It’s very cool watching it change direction and then the wave starting to form And get bigger and bigger.
Just like paddling the Ottawa, but with Orcas!! 😂
Apparently they were around but we didn’t get to see any. Saw a few seals though. It’s a magical spot.
Another beautiful video! The Chance Cove Trail is certainly spectacular, and the climb up to the rock cairn and Spectacle Head at Cupids is breathtaking (literally and figuratively)! I'm glad to see you had a beach day at Salmon Cove Sands as well, and having taken a dip in the ocean there, you can now probably understand why it takes quite a while for icebergs to melt in our waters! 😳😉 Your children are fortunate, indeed, to have such wonderful adventures and memories that will last a lifetime! Bravo!
Great video! I loved how your kids were so excited to see the puffins, and they were so polite to thank the man who gave them their little rings and keyring souvenirs. They're so sweet! Not gonna lie, those cheesecake and lemon meringue pie slices made my mouth water! 😋
Enjoying this series as we had to miss the sunshine coast despite our plans to see it on our way home from our last trip to Vancouver Island.
This was our first time to the Sunshine Coast and I’d highly recommend it if you go again. We also went to the island after (my first time (Mike)). I really enjoyed it there also. Thanks for watching
Nice places! Full enjoyed! Have a lovely day!
A thumbs up for the video and the algorithms 👍👍👍
Just looked on Plug Share and I see it’s not an EV friendly road ..yet. 😢 Chargers at Baie Comeau and one at Lab City with nothing in between. 😅
Great Video! Im from Fogo Island my home is in Island Harbour. Glad you enjoyed our little peace of the earth lol. If you ever need any info please reach out. Cheers!
You live on a beautiful island! We hope to come back to spend more time here someday. We will reach out! 😊 thank you!
Pot heads probably steal the sign because their losers.
What a beautiful area 👍
It really was. We loved Idaho ❤
Darla and Tom sound like salt of the earth people.
Who would have guessed? In a Giant Tiger parking lot no less. It was nice meeting you guys today. Tell the girls I was very happy to meet them. They are the stars of the channel. lol. By the way, where are all those wonderful handstands? Looking forward to you PEI adventures.
We just clicked finish on our newest video thanks to you! It was lovely meeting you and thanks so much for the motivation to get back to work 😉 Girls have been practicing hand stands. Maybe our PEI series will have us all doing them!
When we were there on the rote from Baie Commeau to Blanc Sablon, you could not get out and stretch as the Skitters, black flies, Deer flies and horse flies were waiting to welcome you for breakfast lunch or dinner or just a snack! July 2019. Virtually no traffic, cpl of black bears. Had a pop up camper and should have taken the tow behind camper. Took extra fuel. Didnt need it. 3/4 ton gmc diesel with 135 litre tank.
Your little girls are sooooo cute 🥰. I have never visited Fogo Island but thinking about visiting this summer so it was nice to see the trails and the area, thanks for sharing
Thank you! We hope you enjoy it as much as we did. The landscape is stunning and so unique. Enjoy!
That's unfortunate, there are many things you could have done in St. Anthony also some of the best hiking trails with the Great Northern Trail Association. Grenfell Heritage Museum, Fishing Point Emporium, Fishing Point Municipal Park, 3 playgrounds, Indoor swimming pool.
This all sounds amazing! Now we know for next time 😊 thank you!
@@MandMtravel83 No problem at all.
Thank you for saying that the Lewis and Clark caverns didn’t have anything to do with Lewis and Clark! We have been exploring L&C sites lately on the Pacific Northwest and I am interested in seeing more, but didn’t know what those caverns had to do with them 😂
We were on a L&C tour as well. Visited many different sites. Saw the caverns and decided to go check them out. We were a bit disappointed that they didn’t actually have anything to do with L&C. (Good marketing I guess) 🤷🏻♂️ Either way it was a beautiful spot to explore.
Nice family adventure 👍
👍👍👍
When I was on Fogo, I saw caribou. Really cool.
Its caiden may
Hi mrs. Kobzek
I grew up in Churchill Falls! Too bad you didn't get there until night time. There's a great trail in to see the Falls and you can tour the underground hydro electric power plant! It used to be the biggest in the world, but I'm sure we're knocked down a few pegs by now, it's a really amazing thing to see though, about 1000 feet underground, and surrounded by 2 billion year old rocks!
That sounds like something really neat to see. We’d like to do the drive again someday so we will make sure to check it out!
When/what month was this filmed?
Did you make it to Sunshine Coast? Will you be posting videos? Do you have any travel plans for this summer? Have followed you for several years and have enjoyed your adventures.
Thanks so much. You are motivating us to edit. We did make it to the Sunshine Coast but once we go back to work after the summer we struggle to edit our videos. We are working on our 2nd North Dakota one at the moment from Theodore Roosevelt national park and Medora 😊 hope to finish it this weekend! This summer we will explore Prince Edwards Island. We’ve been before but not with the RV so excited to do the perimeter with it. Thanks for watching and for the kind words (and motivation!!)
Would really like to bring a drone next time I go.
It’s paved now sweet! Hope you didn’t miss LAnse Amour. You made me want to dig out my mesh suit and go for a visit. I kinda liked the remote Eagle Plateau region… it’s untainted tundra and glacial rock gardens. Not nothing. 500 km stretched between gas pumps was exciting. Congrats you’re in a small group of Canadians brave enough to answer the call of the Labrador wilds.
That's where I'm from! Joe Batt's Arm and Island Harbour.
