@thesoundoutdoors I once hiked up the high mountain of the Delaware Water gap with Boys Brigade as a youth, and it went along a cascading creek which had a 30 foot waterfall. I'm always enamored by clear streams, and walked onto a large smooth slightly tilted rock at the edge of the falls. It seemed so safe, but it was a little wet and I just started sliding into the brook with nothing to grab and thought I would get washed over the falls. Thankfully, there was a tub like pool and rim just before the falls dropped. I was up to my chest, but saved. It was a wet hike thereafter, but summer day so I was fine, and dried quickly. Except for my boots, of course. Nothing new for me, the wading trout fisherman, who often went too deep!

Lawrence Welk, whose old popular TV song and dance series that had many now famous guests, including some whose notoriety must have helped get Disney off the ground ( my parents often watched it), always ended the show with the pleasant and happy words, Always keep a song in your heart ❤. I would probably be resonating that and King David and the LORD himself except to say similarly, Always keep a Psalm in your heart ❤.

In fact David said that: Thy word have I hid in my heart ❤that I might not sin against thee. Ps 119. 11. ( against God )

I'm thinking along the lines of the best loved Psalm of all time, the 23rd. A psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Verses 1-3 of 6.

And the wonderful thing is that anybody can insert their name in the place of David, and make it their own if they claim it.

And I read that there are many different kinds of sheep in Norway: a significant part of your culture. Perfect!

Yeah, a sunset version would be a good one. (Beach is facing east). Courageous to have taken that journey and must have felt quite adventurous. Different HSE standards back then. Reminds me of the picture of the ones eating lunch out on a beam

@thesoundoutdoors My uncle Lloyd, his son later did a little also on the high beams. They were together and he turned for a moment and my grandfather was gone. He was like, oh no, he fell off! But later he realized he had just hopped onto a mobile passing beam carried by the crane. Lol 😆

Yes, no normal fish would go up there! Lots of Englishmen have been fishing in the rivers (and climbing mountain tops) in Norway. Alta river is one of the popular places yes.

Then I get the number of screens 😀 Found you on google 👍 Sounds like a good job. It may not feel natural to shower immediately after a meal but works for me. Exercise as well yes.

Thanks! We were lucky with the weather this day as it had been raining the previous weeks. A nice hike on top of a ridge, and then down following a river back to the starting point. Its that land yes, though direct midnight sun would be bit further North. Later in the year a tent here would be ideal spot for stargazing.

@thesoundoutdoors Yeah, lions, tigers, jaguars, as well as elephants and bears and other wildlife in elementary school. Often think I should have been the artist everyone said I was, but then again, I might be starving if I did.

Hi, yes I´ve seen it so I know how it ends 😀 It is a relevant challenge in some places in the fjords, but on a more daily basis avalanches, landslides and rocks and boulders falling onto the road is more of a danger - especially when it has rained a lot.

@thesoundoutdoors Yes, I know that Norway has some of the smartest wisest engineers and civic leaders on earth 🌎 😀 😉 I think California is one of the most dangerous places. Then the Gulf coast has the hurricanes and the Midwest has awful tornadoes and thunder ⛈️ storms with hail and lightning and tree knocking straight line winds.

Thanks! That’s right! Prime season for waterfalls with melting snow and green vegetation. Bob Ross is new to me. It is a merry waterfall, in a valley in the end of a fjord. Spent the night camping with this view. Are the fires in AZ mostly natural or accidents?

@thesoundoutdoors Fires here can be from either. Seems most often natural from dry lighting. Can be scary. In CA we had to evacuate in Carmel Valley for almost a week in 2020 because Fires were burning just north and south and were closing in. We saw several homes across the valley on the next hill explode into flames. I like merry waterfalls much better! Check out Bob. He paints masterpiece oils in a half hour before your eyes. He's on UA-cam, but he went to heaven early. Painting some gorgeous scenes there now, I'll bet.
