I resonate with you so much when you mentioned being at a church that preaches the word. Had my experience with starting out at a church that drastically helped with my spiritual walk then a transition there happened and everything is sugar coated. I had to transfer 😅. The word of God shouldn’t be sweet because I feel my spirit move when I read a verse that speaks to my own spirit. I can sense when a word is being sugar coated. I agree 100%. So many good points you and your husband shared

Happy New Year Kimberly. Praying you have a beautiful and blessed New Year. May the Lord continue to enrich you as you share the love of Jesus. I started the Bible Recap in August along with the study guide and I love it. It really helps you dive deep into the Word and understand things so much easier. I also have a book by Max Lucado, “They walked with God”. Beautiful book and I can’t wait to dive into that one. I have several devotional books as well and then my personal journal. I try to choose a word for the year, one that I feel God is speaking to my heart. This year is “intentional “. To be intentional in many ways..my health journey, growing closer to the Lord..with my time and my words, just to name a few. I pray that I am intentional in sitting at His feet and listening for his whispers. May the Lord continue to bless you and your hubby and keep sharing Jesus. God bless..❤

I’m so glad you’re doing the Recap. I’m finishing my first year with the Recap (just have Revelation left) and will do Round 2 with some of my church family again. It’s my first time reading through the whole Bible and I couldn’t have done it without accountability from my group and the recaps (summaries) from Tara-Leigh Cobble. The Recap is a game-changer! Good evening! Non-fiction I am reading I Surrender All by Priscilla Shirer. I keep hearing about that book by Francine Rivers, so I need to check it out. I am reading other Christian fiction novels and clean romance by Vanessa miller, Michelle Stimpson, Rhonda McKnight, etc. I definitely want to read The Forge then watch the movie. I want to reread War room.

I have been watching a few videos on this topic. I wanted to compliment you both on your body language, patience with allowing each other to speak I’m not interrupting the other on their viewpoint. I am getting married on 1/4/25. I don’t have any marriages in my family. I really dont know what this looks like from a submissive perspective. I don’t think my husband has much reference either. So being a soon ti be newly wed, I appreciate the authentic experience.
