Приєднався 17 тра 2018
Hi there welcome to my channel my name is Wil (yup with one L) which is dedicated to Sportbike adventures. We usually take the keys and travel through the less known roads of New England and New York and hopefully soon longer than that. My current bike is a BMW S1000XR 2019 and my friend just got his 2020 model so reviews will come soon.
Here you can find routes and as well reviews of the parts that I install on my motorcycle.
Join me in this channel as I build the audience and the adventures. I will work to publish content at least once a week.

StreetFighter Raw Ride Video 360
Hi all I took the insta360 x2 for the first time and did a quick video. The camera is a lot of fun but definitely there is a learning curve. Hope you guys enjoy the video this one is short also the suspension end up so good from my previous video that I really like it. The shaking that you see on the video is the camera bouncing due to the mounting the motorcycle itself is really smooth.

How to Adjust the Ducati Streetfighter V4s Front Fork Preload
Переглядів 6 тис.3 роки тому
Hi this video is to illustrate how I did end up adjusting the front fork Preload on the Street Fighter V4s 2021. This steps is very necessary to help the semi active suspension of the bike to behave accordingly. Is not a super technical video but is realistic enough to show how to get to adjust the front fork preload. Hey if I can do it you can do it as well.

Hey guys this is a raw video of my friend having a close call with a tight turn. Please always remember to be aware of your surroundings. Fortunately he have practice on how to react to a situation like this which help his prompt reaction to straight the bike up no panic and stop. Also the limited traffic at the road and good luck allowed him to come out of this with no harm and in good shape w...

You can do this with the bike turned off? In my previous bmw you had to turn it on to set up preload

Great information thankyou
hello just went to my dealer to check an s1000r 2023 to replace an mt10 and it vibrates a lot the tank and handle bars. also idling was at 1200rpm oscillating to 1250 not sure if this is normal. my mt10 is smooth and is not new. expected more from bmw. this is normal?
Yes unfortunately vibration on the handlebars from BMW is a a known thing. There are many ways to counter this. My go to method today is the HVMP handlebars weight and a new triple clamp dampening system
Change the battery in ur smoke detector.
Lol did it already nothing that I can do for the video :)
@@sportbikesadventures2354 I feel like one goes bad in my house at least once a month, ugh.
Just got a 22 Panigale V4S and the preload is Cadillac soft. I’m 230lbs so I guess it’s me but yeah I need to do this. Totally out of wack.
Yeah, in your case I would recommend check with your local dealer and explore the idea of changing your springs and fork oil to match your weight
@@sportbikesadventures2354 I’m told the fork preload comes soft, the rear shock is perfect after messing with the DES settings (I think that’s what it’s called, can’t remember), my stock ZX10R suspension is perfect and it’s not even close to the max setting. I ride pretty hard, all the rotors plus tires on my bikes and cars are all quite colorful.
So how much preload did it have to start with? Before you adjust you have to know how many turns it has, how many turns in total and you have to ensure that both sides have the same amount of preload to start with. You also have to measure the free travel and static of the forks before you start adjusting.
Hey Jay, so from start it was around 12 turns in. I dont have the notes with me at the moment but I believe the total turns are 17 1/4. In terms of SAG and others of course everybody is different I setup my to my weight at that moment and now I'm redoing again to fit my current weight for this season. For this season I also changed the front and rear springs + different oil Viscosity. Just for expectations purposes the video is not intended to illustrate how to adjust your motorcycle suspension to your own ride style the video is intended to show where to adjust the front fork preload of the SFv4s as it was not that obvious so I want to share. If you are looking to adjust the whole suspension check the #calimoto video that have dave moss talking about the settings. However the same principles apply where static sag and preload needs to be completed and is per rider weight and riding style needs.
@@sportbikesadventures2354 reason I pointed that out is that there are people out there who will just do what you did with no concept of what else they need to take into account.
@@jaykay1168 thank you for pointing that out. Is the first video that I do like that. In my thought process I assumed that if somebody will attempt to adjust the preload is because they have some sort of sense of what they are doing. But is a good call out on the next one I will start with that disclaimer.
1.25 your mate almost lost it 👀
I noticed that as well :) thankfully he was good 👍
@@sportbikesadventures2354 wicked video, have you upgraded anything on the bike or added much in terms of accessories or convenience? I've just brought one and it gets delivered soon
@@watty45256 Everything is factory on that bike. Is one if not the best all around motorcycle if you get one it will not disappoint. If you want to ride it hard like a sport bike it will do. I fyou want to ride it as a touring bike it will do too :) . It will definitely will put a smile on your face
Nice! You got what am expecting
Thanks Glad that it helped
Good input
Thanks hope it helps!
Good stuff 👍🏽 you got my sub. Take care ✌🏽
Thanks ! Slowly but steady next video is about how to create routes point to point routes for free
Replace your smoke detector battery
Lol I did replace after the video thanks for point it out :)
Where is there? good area for riding...
That is on west Massachusetts and NY and VT area. Those are rural roads that have very minimal transit and are very good to enjoy the scenery
Stock exhaust and headers?
Yes the full exhaust system is stock. I'm planning to replace the exhaust with an SC project one. I will do another video about it but the stock system on S1000Xr is really good.
O wow thanks 🙏 500 views is the first video that breach that mark :)
Thanks for the view on the video if you have any questions about the roads presented feel free to post in the comments below.
didnt know you raced
It was not a race but practice at the track.
SportBike Moto Adventures ah
The XR handle it like a champ. I was using Michelin Road 5 which are not track tires. I think for the first time on the track with the XR all went good definitely looking forward for the next one.
Cool ride, does anyone in your group mess around and start wheelies and drive like a fool
They don't we usually behave very well :).
Can I make a advertisement or a shoutout for you? Please? Btw it’s me Drew N
Hey brooo!! OK to feature your clip in my new moto vid? Watermarked and linked to your channel of course.
@@sportbikesadventures2354 Thanks mate!
When?
Do you know what ND number it was?
@@sportbikesadventures2354 it looks great! I've ordered an ND8 for my Sena Prism Tube and an ND2 for my Hero 2014 but I doubt I'll get similar results because you can't adjust the settings
@@CheapskateMotorsports I keep iterating with this. Currently Im running my Gopro Hero 8 with a ND 16 in sunny days.
Hey, GalaxyCats'N'Coins sent me over! Dayuuuum, it's been years since I road the Kangamangus Highway! My favorite spot was the parking spot next to the river where you could park and walk down and cool off! Be safe out there!
Great video and a sharp looking bike. That thing is a lot faster than my Harleys! Scott
@@sportbikesadventures2354 I appreciate it. They will be up soon. Finishing up my opening credits portion for all of my videos. Then I will get to cranking them out.
Always remember a lot of officers ride too. Scott
Agree Scott this guy was awesome.
Good video - the mount seems to work well. Any issues since you started using it? Scott
Thanks for the update. You have a good channel - subbed. Scott
Hi Scott - so I've been using now for about 2 years one issue I will said is that if you get the mount change the default double sided type for a stronger one.
@@sportbikesadventures2354 I appreciate the follow-up. I finally decided to go with a Dango Design Gripper for my GoPro helmet chin mount.
@@gorillahd9247 sorry it took quite long honestly did not know where I was going with the channel but now I have a clear vision where I want this channel to be thanks for sticking g by
