Got inspired to build this after seeing the Immensity by Allied Armor. It just looked too freaking awesome, if only there was a supercarrier like that but with mobility and playable frame rates. This is a fighter made for fighting large grid ships. It's armed with 18 auto-cannons and 2 WHAM evasive guided missiles. The fighter is easy to print and re-arm on any simple welder bed due to its small size. Turning that knife into a flying lawnmower seems pretty effective. I hope one day someone uses an ai to make these npcs fight like actual competent opponents.

@@Poanage I only tried it a few times and the npcs being worse at fighting that people at 4am after 5 liters of vodka was quite the let down.

Cool ship. bummer you need to put so many thrusters, I whish there was tiered thrusters in vanilla to make this ships not have so many thrusters on the sides for example

This is by far the best example of the latter. 👌 A beautifully edited trailer for a stunning and intimidating, capital ship. ...now, will Luca test this, or will it make his PC melt? Me: Barely figuring out how to fit two pieces of armor blocks together. The rest of the SE community: I'm going to put a thruster, on a piston, on a subgrid angled 45 degrees and abuse Klang to make my ship fly in atmosphere when it really shouldn't be able to.
Is that what's happening here? It uses Klang drives for in-atmosphere control?

Your super carrier has been reviewed by two major SE UA-camrs! Captain Jack and LastStandGamers. It's one of the best ship's I have ever seen, I can't even begin to image the time and work, and sleepless nights thay were dedicated to this grand project. And, in the end, my friend, it all payed off.

So how laggy does the server become with this thing on it?
You can try it on your pc by doing shift F11 and having a look at simspeed. With it's features turned off, it doesn't actually have a big impact.

What's the point dude?! I have 300m batlecruiser and thee is no server to host it and no crew to man it! It's just you and maybe 5 other in you alliance.. Are you gonna run massive army of drones onto the bugs and wolf's?
Why do people paint and make sculptures? Even if no server can host it, did you not have fun making it? Who are you lol I remember you, you're the good looking fella who trolled my battleship vid, did i fart on your muffin?
SE is not all about utilizing a design in reasonable combat, not for everyone. Many people make things that will never see true combat, never be utilized to their fullest, etc. The point is that the creator is satisfied with designing something with those capabilities, not necessarily actually utilizing it to its full capabilities.
I can’t wait for the next iteration of space engineers with the new engine and most importantly the new lighting. This thing would look even better
Amazing! Everything looks good and has a usful purpose at the same time. I loaded up this ship flew it around and my 5 year old PC kept its frame rate. Could you do a tutorial or point to any guides on how to create such a large ship without killing sim speed?

Bigger, because they can do entire planets battling entire other planets. You could take these inside guild ships. Another way to think about it is the guild is so huge and there are so many settled and industrialized worlds funeling money, resources, people, that they as a corporate entity could build planets without blinking an eye.

Turn on experimental mode so that scripts can work, and then on the seat on the left of the command chair, turn on gravity gyro system
I tried building a orbital lander craft once and it was a pain. Which makes this all the more impressive.

Not going to be easy with the subgrids for sure, you could just creator mode paste it in but the turrets and torpedo launchers you kind of have to figure out
"MSI Eaglehorn, Coming to a workshop near you" is something i wouldnt expect to hear, but could be normalised since the game was extremely scientific
