Place is growing and many people are moving here for affordable homes! LA and other areas of California are double the price. The average home in California as a state is around $800k and in Bakersfield around $400k. Higher demand in the area is causing prices to rise!

It depends, I have a client that bought a home in this exact neighborhood and only pays $60. None in the $200s I've seen with these new construction homes, but ofcourse it goes up depending on the home.

yes, but that could be years away. we never know when they will sell, its once they stop selling that specific floorplan. and once that happens, the home has increased in price and no longer will sell in the same price point because the entire neighborhood has developed already and the value has gone up. so i always recommend getting one sooner than later, because values go up and prices go up as the community is being built

if you're looking from another state and comparing california to it, then yes. but this is almost half the price of the average home in california which is $800k. Bakersfield is very affordable compared to the rest of California, which is why its growing so fast and many people are moving here. But if you are okay with living in another state and don't care for California, yes you can find a better deal eslsewhere

Many people are doing so, for the most part they are wanting to stay in California and still be close to the beach, mountains, theme parks, and everything else California has to offer. But they also want to be somewhere where they can get a lot of house for a cheaper price, quieter living and safer areas than other cities. So Bakersfield ends up being that place. The average home in Bakersfield is around $400,000 which is half of the average home price in California as a whole which is $800,000. So for many people, it makes sense because they have a big family and still want to be here in California. But for other people, I can definitely see how it wouldn't make sense and moving somewhere else would be a better option if California isn't something you care for.
