Some people may complaining about 97 anime about skipping black swordsman arc and stuff like Wyald or Skull Knight. And yeah. There are arguments for that. But actually I think the anime did wonderful job making us used to quite normal medieval world and then at the end suddenly giving us a real nightmare in JUST two episodes. I think It was made that way to make us feel and identify with band of the hawk members for whom it was a nightmare all of sudden. I definitely felt that way. The form of this anime isn't an ignorance of director. It was art.

Why has no one done an orchestral anxiety inducing dramatic version of this masterpiece.
What I love the most about the eclipse is how it encompasses the broad subject of doom and hopelessness. The environment of the god hand using some of the most prolific deadly sins like pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath. You see it all during the eclipse, the end, and the suffering. Such a well crafted story, thank you and rest in peace Miura
Aot also tackles the whole impending doom thing also. But I haven’t seen anyone nail it better than Miura.
