The Table Collective
Приєднався 20 лют 2024
Table Collective is a global community of artists and contemplatives who seek to integrate their creative and spiritual selves. We gather “at the table” to compassionately see one another, share our creative offerings, and deeply connect with our authentic selves, each other, and our sense of the Sacred/ Divine / Source (however each of us sees that).
On this channel we share podcast and blog episodes, and monthly Art Prompts to inspire your next creative work. We invite you to share your art and reflections with the rest of our online community!

9 | The Nature of the Universe in the Poetry of Quantum Physics
Quantum physics describes a world that is counter intuitive, where time and space operate counter to our experience. Quantum theories suggest there are other worlds, universes and that our world may be the result of cycles of beginning and ending. To explain itself quantum theories require metaphors, and begins to sound like an artist.

8 | The Nature of the World: The Quran Joins the Conversation
Переглядів 24День тому
What does the Quran add to our way of seeing the world in the so-called age of science? Did the world come from nothing? Is there only one universe? What about quantum entanglement? And, how do the different religious heritages agree with or differ from each other?

7 | The Nature of the World according to Genesis and John
Переглядів 2114 днів тому
Did the world come from nothing? Was it made ex nihilo? Is there only one universe? Do Genesis and John have anything to add to our way of seeing the world in the so-called age of science? Do they agree with each other?
Where Does Inspiration Come From?
Переглядів 3121 день тому
Where does inspiration come from? How does the imagination work? Is there a difference between religious/spiritual inspiration, and artistic/creative inspiration? I suggest there are three aspects to understanding what inspiration is: 1. The source: where did the inspiration come from. 2. The result: what is created or written or said or painted because of inspiration. 3. The instrument: what f...
6 | The Nature of the World according to the Gita, Buddha, and Lao Tzu
Переглядів 4321 день тому
Are religious theories of nature and creation and the world myths in the sense of being fairy tales, or are they mythic in the sense of being a way of speaking the truth in imaginative and evocative language? How do they compare with each other, and with science?
5 | A Guitar, Bakersfield, and the Ecstatic
Переглядів 9Місяць тому
Space, Time, and Consciousness. Does psychic entanglement continue after death? Can a city have consciousness? Is our world just a “something”, or is there a Someone, in some way, at the center of our psychic entanglement?
2 | What Does "Where" Mean?
Переглядів 23Місяць тому
What do quantum physics and the Bhagavad Gita and the Buddha and the Gospel of John and poetry and music have to do with each other? A simple question about my beginnings turns out to be not so simple after all.

4 | The Cosmic Individual?
Переглядів 1Місяць тому
How do these dots connect: Granada Hills, Granada Spain, the high Sierra Nevada mountains, Muhammad, a new housing development, a bare yard, an imaginary friend, an old rowboat and a little boy with towels in his pockets. If entanglement is cosmic and if everything in the universe is connected, how can one person possibly process it all, and come to think of it, what does it mean to be “a person”?
3 | Where is He Coming From?
Переглядів 3Місяць тому
I wanted to get personal about the different places I come from but discovered that quantum entanglement and religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, and Christianity might help explain holy and haunted places, and the way that every place gets tangled up with everyone that has ever lived there. Which made me see my personal “where”, and as a result, myself, in a very different way.
