You could find the best local egg noodle in alleyway for 50-80 baht with great fish dumpling. Most Thai Chinese in Yaowarat are of Teochew/Hokkian ethic and the actual authentic one you could be found in Yaowarat often have old fashion store pass down from grandparent generation. If you ever saw a shiny new restaurant full of Chinese text in Thailand, then it high likely to be from China. as someone born into Thai-Chinese family, if anyone go to Yaowarat and expected local food... I wouldn't recommend modern Chinese store that look like this. Dim Sum one perhaps but not the one that look like this like for noodle, try searching "บะหมี่ เยาวราช" to see different the way local Chinese and mainland Chinese arrange noodle is different. it also down to the spice and other ingredient as well
