2023 - Australia Trip
Visit to Australia in November 2023. Highlights included the Clifton Zoo (thanks Mum!!) and staying at O'Reilly's near the Gold Coast. Was great to catchup with friends and family.

There was a lot of talk of all the tigers in Thailand being drugged and mistreated but aside from their cages (which were mostly very generous in size until the tigers got too old to keep out for visitors and then it got a little sad how small a cell they were kept in), these seemed very non-drugged, alive and well. I was pretty impressed by the theme park in the middle of a shopping mall. And not something really small either, it had 4 adult rides (one was out of action) and enough stuff to keep younger kids entertained all day. The pirate ship was probably the most impressive as whilst the roller coaster was a lot of fun, it can't compare with some of the bigger ones I've been on elsewhere in the world. ...
2012 - My Bamboo Tattoo - Phi Phi Island, Thailand

I decided that if I was ever going to get a tattoo it would be something to remind me to get the most out of this life and make a difference for others, so the sigil was a perfect reminder as I love the symbol. I topped it off with a crown to remind myself that people treat you the way you present yourself to them. I had it done the old fashioned way with a bamboo tattoo (ie all manual, no gun)...

I found the street food sellers very interesting in Thailand. I decided to record one of them to share. From start to finish is about 5-10min and it was delicious (and bountiful!). If I listed them by letters, foreigners would just get confused by the English alphabet. That's why I used numbers.

ooooooo pushing the memory too hard my new friend but it wasn't much (I'm scummy with giving my money to anyone.... lol). I highly recommend though for the shere story telling reason - everyone has a tattoo.... how many can say they got it the traditional way that it was first done?!? (Maybe not for a big tattoo.... mine was 5x3cm and took 2-3hours). Enjoy Phi Phi! I did. :)
