I’m a life long self taught artist, former Walt Disney Feature Animation animator and School of Visual Arts professor. I have credits on animation projects for feature films, television programs, commercials and gaming projects. Also, for 20 years I drew many thousands of people at private events, conventions, and theme parks.
I now enjoy painting portraits, seascapes, landscapes, still life, and pets in watercolors and oils, …mostly oils ; )

Thank you Gus! That is really what the channel is for. It makes me paint, draw or create something. I need some type of a motivation to keep me going or months will pass and I realize that I haven’t been doing what I love.
I just attended a workshop by Janet Rogers, who is very influenced by Charles Reid. She highly recommended this book. Contour and gesture drawings were essential to feeling the figure and feeling the movement of the figure.

Really surprised by how much he is able to put as the details using watercolours. It is not easy at all. So easy to have a blurry smudgy water colour paintings, his are so bright and strong. Looks like oil at times lol! Truly a master.
John Pike has always been a favorite of mine. I agree with you. He is a master and looking at what he was able to achieve in his paintings makes me want to break all of my brushes and become an accountant. Lol.
