Hello! 👋 I love traveling around visiting our National Parks!
We have made it to 43 National Parks to date. We have also visited National Monuments, State Parks, and many other beautiful stops along the way. We started this journey back in 2011, with a random trip to the Grand Canyon.
I enjoy hiking, and a lot of my videos focus on that, as well as other interesting things I find along the way. If you find that kind of stuff interesting, feel free to follow along. I enjoy hearing from others about their experiences as well, so please feel free to comment so I can get to know you as well.

Redwood National Park ~ Fern Canyon Loop Trail 👣 Definitely do this trail
Redwoods National and State Parks
Located with the Prairie Creek State Park area, this loop trail is definitely one you shouldn't miss. The trail is actually a loop, at about 1.5 miles. You can start along the forest trail or head right up the canyon. I like to start right up the canyon. The views are just amazing as you walk through a canyon where the walls are lined with ferns.
The Lost World Jurrasic Park 1997 film had some scenes filmed in the canyon.
You need a permit that can be obtained online from mid-May through mid-September. It's good to go early for solitude, later in the afternoons or evening, for lighting for photos.

October 10th, 2024 I missed the show in May this year. I was lucky enough to get another chance. Being in California, it's a rare opportunity to catch the northern lights, let alone in a city in your yard. I just wanted to share some pictures. Redwood National and State Parks Located within Jededah Smith State Park along Howland Road is the grove of Titans. 2 mile Round-trip hike. A majority of the trees in this grove are 1500 years old, with some dating back 2000 years. This trail is fairly new. Shoshone Falls in Southern Idaho

Shoshone Falls is a beautiful day use area located in Idaho. The fall flows vary from season to season. Early spring can have the best flows. It is known as the Niagra of the West. We made a stop here on our way home from Yellowstone. You can hike to Evil Knevils famous jump spot over the Snake River from this park. Upper Mesa Falls ~ Idaho

It's a short trail to sets of stairs that take you to several viewing areas of Upper Mesa Falls. The trail starts behind the visitor center. There is a nice nature trail that you can take to see Lower Mesa Falls. The trail can be really bad with mosquitoes, so bring bug spray. @@GC-Hiker 👋 Thanks! I don't think this canyon floods like they do in the southwest. The river may flow more, but I have never heard of flash flooding. There had been strong storms the day before and earlier in the day when we arrived.

Oh my it is so beautiful along the creek. So pretty how the water runs down the moss. It must of been hard to leave the creek area. It is magical there. Thank you for sharing this amazing place. Hope to see it some day 😊
@@upnorthadventureswithccc 👋 it definitely is hard to leave the creek. Many people go up and then back in the creek. I like to escape the crowds a bit by going up on the trail in the forest. However, it is the canyon that is the most beautiful. I am glad you liked it 😊 Thank you

This is a stunning walk, DL. The creek and the sounds of the water, the ferns and the water on the moss. Then picking a route through that fallen tree. Not so keen on all those steps though.

Hi Princess Yes it is Jurassic park in a way...a lot of vegetation on the walls I like the water cascading over the green moss. The the sounds of water are always welcome...comforting me. I cannot believe you had to go through the rain on the trail You have pretty old trees I enjoy the most Watch out over the roots...
