I love seeing how much fun the presenters used to have. It was never as commercialized as it is today. It was just fun, and I think that's what kids related to so much-its authenticity. I wish we still had that authenticity today.

It's quite rare to see ITN World News. By coincidence I also found some on a tape today.

This man has been one of my favourite performers since I was a child. I first noticed him in a TV show on ABC in Australia called 'What's On Next'. Then I discovered him in The Benny Hill Show which I wasn't allowed to watch as a kid. Thank you Mr. Bob Todd. It was wonderful while we had you here. I'd love to know what fibs his family & friends had to tell him to get him to the studio for this show. He thought it was a show for Barry Cryer.

Incidentally...Callan was shown in place of "Disaster in the Sky". A movie about a supersonic plane that has been sabotaged. The change was probably due to the Pan Am flight 759 air crash on 9th July that week. Also that same day, Michael Fagan broke into Buckingham Palace and sat on the Queen's bed! Leeds BS still offers good rates tho.

"Nurse of the year" I had forgotten that! Good to see Mike Prince in vision presenter. Lots of good memories!

Bob Todd was in the film "Mutiny on the Buses". Towards the end of the film, he played the part of a Bus Inspector.

Checking on the news report on the murder of the art student, this was broadcast on July 14th 1983/ Hope this helps.

Two observations, Johnsons Baby powder was proven to cause cancer and the company who made it was sued for billions in the US, also, not much "dieverstity" going on in 1982 was there, I wonder what happened?
