I’m a Navy veteran, great build. You did an outstanding job. Only one thing, the position of the flag. While a Navy ship is under way the flag is always flown from somewhere on the mast. And while in port or anchored the US flag is flown from the stern of the ship, carrier flight deck, and the US union flag from the bow.

I am a Plank Owner of this ship, which means I was ships company when she was commissioned in 86. Spent 4 years on her. Only did one Med Cruise but many small deployments in and out of the shipyard where she was built. Went through shock trials and all the sea trials. Got out just before Desert Storm. I am ordering this kit to build. Just wanted to check it out. How long did this take from start to finish?
