How do you like the St Croix so far? Been thinking of getting a 9’ also. It’s a good price. Seage 9’ is too thin and flimsy. Legend is too expensive 😂😂
Love it It's light I use it for pier and surf fishing Everything feels like a tuna I may have have some vids up here from last summer I paired with a Shimano Stradic 4500 I believe Nice light combo especially if walking the beach or wade fishing
@@lucabrazzi-vlog I love St Croix and have several including Mojo Surf and Seage. Charlotte area here. Been meaning to go try pier fishing pompanos. Are they in yet? I mostly fish hybrids and striped bass.
@Unplugged704 yea Philly area here but have a place on Topsail Island NC Which I love Try to get down there once a month to fish I love St Croix although I feel they aren't made in the US anymore Like my Tide Master etc I also really like Cashion rods made in NC I use them for kayak bass fishing Thanks for viewing
I just bought a new bg 4500. Its way bigger than i thought, gonna get a slammer IV 3500
For the price especially in the salt the BG is a great value
Your vid just popped randomly for me today Nov.13,2023.I jave th3 Longitude 12 footer and bg 8000 and man oh man, that set up is an absolute BEAST. I dont know why the people in comments are bashing the rod.
I loved it too and even Paired it with Daiwa Saltist but was stolen last summer
@@lucabrazzi-vlog damn that def sux
@macmobilestudio yea it did especially since I live in Philly area and never have stuff messed with I even leave my rods out etc know one touches but in NC in a nice beach town have about $500 to $600 in gear Goodluck with the Longtitude it's a nice rod imo
One sea mullet ...but fun nonetheless
Will be back down around Christmas hopefully get on some Whiting and Drum
Trying my luck at Topsail 11/10/23 ...if I catch anything it'll be luck 😂
No this imo is a great time to fish Pomps still may be around Spots? Whiting will definitely be around and Black drum Goodluck
Great video. Are you going to fish in the tournament next weekend?
Man this 1st Weekend in November? Is it a Surf Fishing Tourney? On Topsail I'm back in PA now but if there is a website could you send to me? Sounds awesome Thanks
@lucabrazzi-vlog it's the topsail pier surf challenge. Just Google that and you'll see all about it
I am going to be on North Topsail around Veterans Day I would love some surf fishing advice !
Hey so sorry just noticed this I will definitely give any advice I can I am a mediocre fishermen but ask away lol
@@lucabrazzi-vlog just wondering about the basics like what bait, to use for that time of year, I’ve heard to cast past the breaker ? What are the best times to fish? I have had some success with the shrimp and the rig with two hooks and the sinker rig that is common. Any good bait/lures for cast and retrieve type fishing ?
@flyrod168 yes can never go wrong with shrimp Frozen, fresh or live Fish bites and fish gum are good too I personally like to fish start of incoming tide but any early morning or evening I think is the best time Rip currents or breaks in the waves are good spots to throw your baits To be honest depending on your rod and gear and the sea it's not always easy casting out past the breaks But if you can I think gives you a better chance to catch different fish (pompano, mackerel or sharks) But sometimes in close gives you the most action especially if the Whiting and spots are running which they usually are now in NC. Where are you fishing? That sometimes dictates your species and actions
@flyrod168 and for rigs I use a 2 drop rig with 30 to 50lb mono or fluro I like circle hooks 2/0, 3/0 or even size 6 to catch smaller fish for action Depending on how rough the ocean is will dictate your weight (and rod of course) I like 3 to 4oz pyramid weights I make my own in 5 mind or quicker I also like to throw little floats and beads on mine too to attract and suspend bait Also blood worms are a can't miss bait Link to how I make my rigs ua-cam.com/video/yL8yL01TmMY/v-deo.htmlsi=jv6OuEYJItrR9MeU But alot of better vids out there
OkuMa
Use them for bait
I did throw a couple real small ones out for bait Nothing
please go fishing ,friend
Yum
That shit look like fortnite
SEAfood without the SEAsoning
It's seasoned with old bay and other seasonings Really good
No
Nice video! But Many problems in your channel Do you want to fix your channel problems?😮😮😮
Do you any help grow your YT channel?
I want to contact you...give me contact details 😮
This is a couple years ago but I believe just shrimp (frozen and live) maybe fish bites too North Redington is beautiful Need to get back down there soon Lucky to live there I am in Philly but also have a house in Southern NC And my 1 daughter just moved to cocoa Beach fla Hopefully hit fla this fall Thanks for watching
what bait were u using that is my condo right behind you and I'm fishing there next weekend?
Sooooo beautiful!!😂🎉
congrats🎉
i had to pause the video for a moment, are those electronic build boards?
Yes i95 in Philly is littered with billboards including electronic ones.
Do you use sand worms sometimes ?
No Not sure if we have them I use blood worms at times
Cool vidéo (;
man you aint kidding, the surf has been absolutely rough. low salinity from all this rain too. the water temps were on the rise then fell like the bite. but Im heading out to Ft.macon with the Family Sunday
Yea honestly it's been nicer up north right Hoping I can get back to nc asap Goodluck at ft Macon Is that in Nc?
@lucabrazzi-vlog yes Atlantic beach south of hatteras but north of topsail
Luca. Good morning-you uploaded outstanding editing! have a good day,🙌
Is this supposed to mean "just because it's cold at my place I don't think there is global warming"?
I'm saying I am wearing a beanie in North Carolina in the summer The earth is bigger than us and does what it wants
@@lucabrazzi-vlog okay let me rephrase. Are you implying there is no global warming and backing that up with a video of a place that's unusual cold for the time of year?
@@club311gaming I'm saying the earth is more powerful than some bureaucrats raising taxes to make us feel guilty I know the entire east coast of America is colder on avg. I know we had ice ages multiple times on the planet which usually are caused by "global warming" that set off events to block the sun etc and this is before humans, cars, nuclear waste, and bureaucrats
how do u like it after a while? I already have the reel and just added the exact rod to my cart and before I pulled the trigger I looked up reviews and found this video.
I really liked but eventually switched out the BG for the Saltist and left it outside my house in NC and the combo setup got stolen :( but the BG reel in any size is great (maybe my favorite esp when on a budget) The Okuma Rod was nice too Fairly light and cast well in the surf
I ended up getting the 3 piece version 7’6 medium heavy fast paired with a 3000 Penn fierce 3 I know it’s a bit small but works great 20 lb braid 12 lb sometimes 15lb mono lead
I have a Penn Fierce 2 3000 for about 5 years now paired with my st Croix tidewater 7ft I love on the kayak especially But also great in shallow surf Catch a ton of pompano on that setup Goodluck and tight lines
Thanks for showing how to make those double drop rigs!
You're welcome they are pretty simple have a newer vid with a little more detail
ua-cam.com/video/yL8yL01TmMY/v-deo.html
It would be a big help if you've written the specs of the rod, braid name, pritce etc. at the video description. Also shorten the video to only usable parts.
Where u go for sheepshead?
I don't Sheepshead fish alot But normally look for structure typically in my kayak
You lost us on your “scamdemic” comment. Bye-bye.
No loss losing a brainwashed idiot like you
it was an IQ test - you failed it !
Lol meat and a salad
Is that beyond braid?
On the 1 setup I believe it waa
How often do you fish topsail?
I fish the area once or twice a month if possible. I am fulltime in PA but have a house in Surf City we bought like 6 years ago and try to get there as much as possible if work permits I love the fall the most tho
I also work in Pa/WV but live in Jacksonville. Have to meet up sometime and fish if you’d be into that
@@jamesspencer5741 Jacksonville NC? Sure Hoping to get down there early August
Yes sir. I’ll be there from July 28th-August 3rd
Do you always use the fish bites with Shrimp/ blood worm? I travel to topsail 3-4 times per year would love to learn more about surf fishing. I’ve had limited success
Not always but it's a nice way to keep some bait on since typically the shrimp gets eaten off pretty fast and some use floss etc to tie shrimp on but I'm not trying to throw more junk in the ocean. I make my own rigs and keep them as simple as possible with the only metal being the hooks or clips and weights. I am an average fishermen but if in the area let me know if I'm down there will fish with ya I fish Surf City typically I also use fish gum doesn't hold as good as fish bites but may be better for a bite. Thanks for watching
Good content. Great video
Great video. Catching them up

Hey all, leave some nice comments for this hard working man.
Great day on the water
U still doing vids?

For some reason I wasn't subbed any longer not sure how wtf Back now
Also going to sub your channel with my small work youtube channel since I am on there more @fanelliscustoms
Little tip - throw your new braided line in a 5 gallon bucket of water and just let it float in there, tie it to your reel, then start reeling (still leaving the new line spool in the water bucket) and load up your spool with wet line. The water will help your line sit nice and tight and have no air gaps that cause line compression later, and it will cast much better starting out. You will thank me once you try it.
Thanks for that I will try it Any chance you have a vid of doing it that way?
@@lucabrazzi-vlog I just spooled a reel and didn't video it. But it's as simple as tying the line to your reel, throw the new line spool in a 1/2 full bucket of water, and start reeling while putting tension on the line with your other hand (just like you did in this video). The new line spool will float and freely unwind while you're reeling and the water helps your line lay perfectly. You could probably make something fancy to hold your line in the bucket of water, but it's not necessary.
No you want your braid to be as tight as possible. If you can dig a fingernail into your spool then it’s too loose
how does the 4500 compare to the 4000? bigger spool? I'm debating what size I should get for my second rod.
You know I don't feel a difference Can't go wrong for the price with any BG I drop these in the sand, salt water and they just keep working
do not buy okuma longitude they are junk ! been fishing 50+ years never broke a rod till i bought this junk ! the okuma cedros csx surf is awesome !!
Yea I ruin all of surf rods from Shimano, Penns and Daiwas etc But I hearya Thanks for the info
Such a beautiful bridge, I love the curves in her...The last time I was in OC was in the mid 60's...One of my long time clients just bought a Condo in the older part- E. 8th street...I'm remodeling the condo for the last couple months and go over that bridge nearly every day...For a philly guy, it's like going into a different world...I Love the area...Anyone living on the island or inland are in an awesome area...

cut and small live pinfish are the best bait I've ever used inshore in NC. Mammoth flounder and reds on them.
Yea I have thrown a ton of live small pins but never had a lot of luck but sure they work since they are a food source Thanks for the comment Tight lines
@@lucabrazzi-vlog I actually have more luck with them using freshly cut meat like half inch squares. Reds, flounder, usually big. But also blues...lots of pesky blues.
