About halfway through the video, you'll see a small hill below, with a trail running along the crest of it. There's an old, but still usable bench on top of the hill. When I first retired 10 years ago, I loved to take a morning cup of coffee, walk up the hill, sit on the bench, and enjoy the view and the fresh air. Unfortunately, a few years later, they put in their timed reservation system. Af...

Still loving this channel! It always inspires me to paint!😊
Thank you! That's one of the nicest compliments I've ever gotten.
Researching now should I bring my husband hete for his birthday in December?
The mountain is beautiful in December. Keep in mind that it can be very crowded on weekends in the winter after it snows. Many families go there so that their children can play in the snow. Sometimes, the Rangers will close the roads to new visitors once the roads get so crowded that there is no place left to park.
which city it was?
Las Vegas, at the Red Rock Casino
Where is this
Lake Mohave in Arizona. I had to go down a long, very sandy road to get to this spot.
You obviously put a lot of work into this video. Great job.
Beautiful
Beautifully done
Where can you take off and land if you cannot do it in the park at the end of a hike?
Drones are allowed everywhere in Red Rock Canyon with the exception of the LaMadre Wilderness Area and the Rainbow Wilderness Area. You're fine anywhere along the Scenic Loop, and on most hikes. It's when you get back into the canyons, or going up the LaMadre Springs trail where you get into the wilderness areas.
That is really great... thanks
Thank you for your kind words, and thanks for watching!
Great music!
Thank you for your kind words, and thanks for watching
Awesoome video! That Drone is pretty cool. I cant wait to get out there. Thanks so much!!
Thank you for your kind words. Enjoy your visit to Wetlands Park.
Really amazing , I'm glad to see 🙋
Thank you for the kind words. I really enjoy your channel.
Beautiful video, thank you for making this
Thank you for your kind words, and thank you for watching
it was nice to get some rain and free water in the summer time but on an overall we really did not benefit much and I would have rater had the sun.
The rain can really be destructive in the desert. People don't realize what can happen to an area that does not see much water. I love that you have the before and after shots.
Nicely done covering the site before and after the flooding. 👍👏
Thank you for the kind words, and thank you for watching.
Great Footage...love that spot
Thank you for your kind words, and thank you for watching!
Very nice area seems very green for this time of the year. Really nice to see you ....I waved back but you probably missed that. Looks like your hitting the dirt roads. Looks like a fun play to explore.
I thought that was you waving! Yes, I'm having fun taking Lulu, my little Jeep Renegade, on some adventures. With all the precipitation this past winter, and with the snowmelt providing water into the summer, this is the greenest I've seen a lot of places at this time of year. Thank you for watching!
Very pretty ❤😊
Thank you for the kind words, and thank you for watching
Interesting to see the roads or trails winding in from the main road. The wild horses were fantastic. I could watch them all day. Those two groups were not only beautiful but also look well fed. When we saw the groups in Northern Nevada they did not look as healthy and the ones in your video. Wonderful to see these beasts wandering freely. Thanks for a great video.
Thank you for your kind words! With the record breaking snowfall last winter, this is the greenest I have ever seen Mount Charleston in July and August. It's great for the wild horses, who have plenty to eat. The first group of horses was on the Kyle Canyon side. They came from the area around the Mary Jane Falls Trail, and nonchalantly sauntered through the village. The second group was on the Lee Canyon side, at Lee Meadows. That's usually a good place to see wild horses. Sometimes there will be wild burros there too.
Forgot to say that I really like that you combined the ground shots with the drone footage....very nice.
Christina keeps saying we have to go to Sedona. It truly is beautiful but she wants to go for some kind of spiritual Indian stuff. I get the beauty but not sure about the rest. My daughter just went a week ago....July...which makes it even harder for me to make excuses...LOL. You always seem to capture the beauty of the desert so well.
it's just somewhere beautiful. Thanks for the nice video.
You have a really cool drone. Love the imagines that you capture and the way you get shots it a way we don't often get to see. Very nice.
Really wish that you would be able to fly over the park. It is such a wonderful sight from the air. It really does look like Mars are you sure you were at Valley of Fire and not some other planet ? it is unearthly.
I don't think I have ever seen any drone shots of Valley of Fire area. It is so cool to see. In many ways that area reminds me of Moab, Utah. The red rock is so beautiful to see. Thanks for a great video.
Thank you for watching, and thank you for your kind comments. You're one of my favorite channels, so your comments mean a lot to me.
It is a horrible thing to see the water levels so low. I really hope that one day it returns and if we have a couple of more winters like the last one we may see that happen. We can only hope. We made sur to see it when it was almost dry now we want to see it full again. Thanks for the nice drone shots.
Thank you again for watching. One of the Las Vegas meteorologists who I follow on Facebook posted that we seem to be heading into a two year El Nino. I replied that supposedly an El Nino means wetter winters for the southwest. I asked him if that meant we might have two more years of rising water levels in Lake Mead. He answered that historically it would have meant wetter winters, but the last two haven't worked out that way, so he's not going to predict it. It would still be awesome if it happens.
Valley of Fire is one of our absolute favorite places to not only drive through but to hike as well. Really love going there as we always seem to find something different to see every time we go. Thanks for this wonderful drive through now you reminded me that we need to get back on the road and see this place again. Perhaps when the weather cools down in a few months.
Definitely when it cools down. I can't remember if they've done it in the past, but this year they're closing the White Dome Trail and the Fire Wave Trail from June through September 30 because of hikers having heat related problems in the past and having to be rescued. They mean business too. After I shot this video, I did a second lap around the park, in case the first video didn't come out. While I was going past the Fire Wave trailhead, I saw Rangers handcuffing four men who had disregarded the signs and gone hiking on the trail. Apparently they nabbed them as they came back up off the trail. When I went by again going the other way, the men were in the backs of the Rangers' two vehicles.
Imagine what it looked like 50 years ago, when all that land in the foreground was part of the lake
My thoughts exactly
Great job , have a wonderful Week 🙋
Thank you for the kind words.
Beautiful , have a blessed time there 🙋
Thank you for your kind words, and thank you for watching
There's still wreckage of the 1942 crash of TWA flight 3 on Mt Potosi. Clark Gable's wife actress Carol Lombard died on that flight. The crash site is very difficult to get to and that was the last time Las Vegas had a commercial airline crash so it's been 81 yrs for what is a very busy airline corridor.
This is breathtakingly beautiful! Just Subscribed 👍🏼
Thank you for the very kind words!
Where is Potosi Mountain??? What drone are you flying? Nice video!
Potosi Mountain is about 30 miles west of Las Vegas, near the little town of Mountain Springs. I was flying a Mavic 2 Pro. And thank you for the kind words.
@@geezerpleasers_OG I thought this was from Great Basin Ntl. Park in N. Nevada. I fly an original Mavic Pro and have done quite a bit of flying in Southern Utah...it's a stunning place to fly.
@@geezerpleasers_OG Here's a video of mine from there... ua-cam.com/video/PHPYbL4NDSs/v-deo.html
Beautiful images! Potosi like Bolivia?
Thank you for the kind words. I would love to visit Bolivia someday, but this is Potosi Mountain in the US, near Las Vegas.

th up 3 I say thank Y O U for this aupoad woohhhh again and again my dear apreciated hi leve friend united in art !!! Hoping on further mutual support yeeeeeeeeeeeeee check id YOU subbed as I nne 100000 to get noticed by industry ...
This would have been better if the natural road sound was left instead of music. But very nice drive!
Thank you watching and thank you for the feedback. I debated whether to use music or leave the natural sound. Since I wasn't set up to muffle the noise of the wind, I decided to go with music for most of the video. I'll try to have a better audio setup next time.
Love the time lapse - monsoon weather is like no other. Sunny and hot one moment, clouds pour in and the down pour of rain is amazing. Then the rain blows out, and the ground steams from the wet grounds makes it humid. Mother nature is amazing. The cloud formations are mesmerizing.
I could easily get hypnotized. Thank you for watching!
We always see a lot of helicopters in that area and it must be rough to try and fly a drone in that area. We especially see a lot around Spring Mountain Ranch. They must love to show the tourists those beautiful mountains. That chopper was in kind of low.
I don't mind a few off roads but it is really hard on the car. It would be different if we had a car that was built for it so I'm with you.....Love seeing it from the drone though.
We have not been to Mount Charleston Yet so it is great to see it. Love the drone shots and see the cars move in fast motion. A lot of fun to watch. I especially like when we get a glimpse of you from time to time as well.....LOL.
You are going to love Mount Charleston when you go. It's a shame that the restaurant burned down last year, because that always topped off a trip up there. I was surprised that they didn't get it rebuilt this year, since it was so popular. Maybe next year.
Did you take that out of the sun roof. That came out so cool and clear. We love Red Rock as it is so beautiful. It did not look real busy when you went. Very nice video.
Thank you for your kind words! I used a double suction mount to mount a GoPro Max 360 degree camera to the roof. Then, in editing, I constantly reframed/moved the point of view within the available 360 degrees of view, to get the appearance of having moved the camera as I drove. I like going to Red Rock on weekday afternoons, because it's much quieter then.
@@geezerpleasers_OG Wow...it came out really cool but that is a ton of work.
Beautiful colors
Well done
How beautiful, breathtaking views Great video
Thank you for your very kind words!
Awesome views
Great video dear friend 👍👍👍
Thank you for the kind words. I really admire your videos.
Beautiful content everi time 🙋
Las Vegas like Southern California has some wonderful cars. I always feel bad when I see them in a place like Red Rock that need to be taken nice and slow to really enjoy the surroundings. People drive too fast on that one way drive and even though those people are having fun they are ruining the visit for many others.
I'm not a fan of Red Rock's new reservation system (in its second year now), but it's had one positive effect. It used to be that groups of motorcyclists on crotch rockets would race round the scenic loop, circle around to the entrance, and do it again, and again. Now, they just go the the Overlook area off the highway, and sit there and tell each other their favorite lies
