Episode 7 Miles on a Mission
My first single handed trip over sea. I visited my uncle to show Miles as he introduced me into sailing decades ago, he was impressed. I left from Zierikzee and sailed to Stellendam where I arrived in the dark. I stayed about 5 days on the Haringvliet before my return to Zierikzee. The way back I was better prepared with favorable tied and wind. The music in this video is from www.Bensound.com. I used my iPhone and GoPro for the video footage. I has been a wonderful week for sailing and a great learning experience to handle Miles all by myself. I had to do minor repairs on the main sail but that is gonna be replaced in a couple of weeks.

Another yacht delivery but this time an Excess 12 catamaran or multi-hull. We sailed from Amsterdam to Medemblik in The Netherlands on May 29th and crossed 2 locks and 1 bridge. We picked up a Beneteau 47.7 from Antwerp, Belgium to sail to Bruinisse in The Netherlands. The trip was by motor and took about 7 hours in total. We sailed the Schelde, Kanaal door Zuid-Beveland and the Oosterschelde. Music: bensound.com

If I had purchased this yacht I would not be happy that someone had used the oven. It then becomes a used boat.
This boat was a demo and sailed to a Nova customer for temporary use until their new Beneteau was ready.
I would be happy someone used the oven, because that means it works, rather than not knowing if it is working.
Congratulations on your Solo Journey. You made it seem easy and above all enjoyable. Very thoughtful of you to share your accomplishments with your Uncle. I am sure you made him proud to have introduced you to sailing.

Actually it is not standard and it comes with a price. 7000 thb for the 2 weeks. I had the same worries and was happy to take it. Unfortunately I found out only after my first hour out of the room through another guest and still paid the full price but I am happy I did. You can get a yoga mat for free

Hi, it is AVANI Beach resort in Pattaya just in front of the beach. This is an official TAT quarantine location currently. It is a good hotel and you are right; birds are singing and squirrels are rushing through the palm trees.

Any reason why you pull out the main with wind over the port side? The tip we got from our broker was to have a little bit of wind over starboard side. Assuming you have the same mast as us, if you find a diagram of a cross section you will see it is not symmetrical inside. And should run more freely with wind from starboard.
Hi Martin, I have a selden mast. Your broker is right. With furling out I do not see the issue so much as the wind will help on both sides. `In the video we exited the harbour and basically circled into through the over port and gibed on our way. Alone I would do it slightly over starboard. Thank you for your comment!
