    10:44, did you swap the position of dx dy? Shouldn't be dx on the outside, for integrating from -infinity to b, and dy on the inside for integrating from -infinity to a?

      Thank you for this. Yes, I use P(x<a, y<b) on left hand side, so I should also use -infinity to a for dx and -infinity to b for dy.

      The correct two should be b and c. Assume X is a random variable of the yearly expense, and Y is a random variable of the amount that the employee get. Then the pdf of Y is a segment function: f(y) = 1/2 when y = 0 and f(y)=1/1500 when 0<y<=750. Let me know if you have any confusion.
