Awesome!!
Brooo please!! Tutorial start to finish a track !
@@sebastianzambranojimenez8053 haha yeah i got it, maybe one day!
proper techo here!!
I saw your live set a while back and was thrilled to see that you posted your own tutorial. What was even more thrilling is seeing that we also have a lot of similar hardware. I have a Native Instruments Maschine MK3 myself. So happy to see you posting more!
Tutorial start to finish pls🙏🏻
Waiting for a techno track start to finish video. You videos are super helpful we would all love to see your workflow . p.s use mostly stock plugins cuz we are poor af :p
nice, pretty dark! will try to play it.
Hi mate! When do you do a Techno tutorial from scratch to finish? Good hypnotic sounds bro! 😊
amazing !!
A strong live performance! The way you present the music instantly captivates the audience. The energy and emotions are palpable, and it's great to see how you share your passion for music. ❤🧡💛🤍💪👍
Thank you for great stuff! Can we ask for this groovy bass tutorial please?
Cool, love it
fantastic ... new sub here ........i would absolutely love for you to show you could record the say..the main melody and how you could sample that and take it into eurorack to use in live set? there isnt a single video showing that on youtube
can i ask why use such an expensive machine (octatrak) just for drums ?
For the better performance live, i dont need ableton or my laptop to play live and i can just do the same things as in ableton to go. Simple said haha.
This solution does not scale over time at all bru…feels like you never had a proper studio setup with enough hardware. Things aren’t that simple
The midi out latency setting is somehow completely new to me and t solved the issue, my gear is perfectly in time for the first time ever.. however when I first push play there is the same latency on the first beat, and the audio speeds up to catch up and then the second beat is right on. I'm so close to actually not having latency that it is extra painful
I've always know it to be off on the first beat then catch up. It's quite the nuisance.
I think it is better to use External Instrument to bring your modular into ableton. That way Ableton compensates for latency introducing plugins you use in your project later on. You still have to set the midi latency in Settings but only once every buffer size you set.
Good tips! thanks!
I use rme set to 64 samples on windows and mac 😂 Maybe 1024 in mixing just had to check..
I run my projects at 96kHz so I have like a full 16th note of latency lmao I just use the track delay function and push things almost a whole bar behind so it’s all synced. It’s dumb but whatever it works for me lol
Haha yeah everybody has his own way to get things to work
Don't forget the reduced latency setting when recording in options also
Hey man, I think your videos are really helpful and informative! I really love the editing and how you explain things. I would like to see a video about getting your mix right and how it works in the close future.
Did not realized the DFAM was this useful for techno. Definitely getting that soon! Thanks for the recommendations TEC9. Now let’s get creative ;)
He didn’t get the edge
ProTip: there are no specific synths for techno...use what you like.
For techno, in no particular order: Behringer Edge, Korg MS20 (mini), Soma Lyra-8, Moog Sub37, PWM Malevolent. But something like the Peak is an absolute workhorse.
I love the Minitaur, but the DFAM (and every other Moog with Volca knobs) is a ridiculous waste of money. The Edge is 1/3 the price and still better build quality (and has MIDI). I really am not much of a Behringer fan, but the Edge and Model D and K2 are great and they're such a good value. And the RD-9 is pretty great, too. But for pads and polysynths in general, the Minilogue is overrated, and '90s romplers are criminally underrated. Maybe I just got bored of the Minilogue because I listened to too much Tycho for a few years. But if you've got the money for a Minilogue you'd have more fun spending it on a Zen Delay.
I would also add behringer neutron... patchbay is extremely usable, especially if you are into eurorack stuff... synth itself has a lot of possibilities and it costs like around 200 euros...
Can I do House or chiller electronic genres with these as well? I have the digital synth Pigments by arturia
Of course, you can make nearly any genre with any capable synth. Pigments is fantastic .
Digitakt and bass station 2 for me. Fighting every urge not to buy an Edge though.
1-Technics 2-Pioneer 3-Roland 4-Korg 5-Yamaha
1 - Elektron 2 - Eurorack 3 - Waldorf 4 - Arturia 5 - DIY
@@el_dani hi behringer boy. Top producers never use these toys.
@@HakanOzen-yo5nq not true...I've seen Wasps & Pro Ones used a fair amount.
why you using major scale for hypnotic techno?
It’s not always about minor scale, you can get atonal movement in a sequence if the relationship between two oscillators is inharmonic
+1 for the Behringer Edge. I use it with my Syntakt and Modular gear and it's been a lot of fun for just turning on and getting straight into a little groove in a very short amount of time.
My Favs Dreadbox Typhon. Erica Synths LXR2. Digitakt. Syntakt and Novation Peak
Love the EDGE so much ! In my opinion it's the perfect hardware for any bedroom producer who's working in the box. It syncs via USB and needs only one input and uses very little space. And it can do techno so well, also surprisingly wide range in sounds. Ground shaking low end, gritty percussion, bleeps and all sorts of sequences, hi hats, you can even play it like a normal mono synth with your keyboard if you trigger it over USB with your daw. Really loving this machine. I don't even think I would swap it for a DFAM even if it was for free. The USB sync is just so comfortable. Also currently 160€ , that is an absolute steal
arrangement is holding me back from my musical career not even kidding, I can make some sick loops but end up stuck at this part. This made me realize I am overthinking, subscribed and liked
Hi there, what is the first channel called sidechain that you use for compression in your synth?
There is a clap, same pattern as the kick. Just to have a clean transient for the sidechain. But there a a lot of different ways to achieve this!
What's that step sequencer at the top of the track? It's not a native Live device. BTW, very nice - subbed! :)
its the ML185 its an free max4life device :)
Great video
bruuuu insane need more of that xD
These bleepy sequences remind me a lot of early Robert Hood records, particularly internal empire. I dig it a lot
could you make a video about how yo made the groove of the track with that punchy low-end
love that mate! Could you put a link for the rack instrument? cheeky
a good one again, thanks mate!
That baseline sounds great. Can you make a video on baselines? Cheers once more.
Great set 🤩Thx 4 the upload
NICE !!
I don't know anyone who puts such good stuff on UA-cam as you, greetings from Kyjiw ❤🇺🇦!!!
Talk about the latency settings please, because have what you have just recorded in sync with the modular without any adjustements like this is a dream for me 😂
Same! I can not record again and again in sync. How are you doing this? Thank you!
Sounds a little bit like adam beyer style techno. I haven't done research , but i did wonder what beyer used to get such punchy compressed drum sounds. I would guess he uses(or did) use compression but probably a hardware compressor. Regardless, years ago when i first heard his music ,possibly his first couple of records, (one was called the eggplant e.p., and the other was a double red vinyl release, and the first couple of drumcode releases , those records had really hard punching drums. I still have those records, and at the time of their release, i never heard Any techno from anyone who had "that" sound. I know it's compression but he definitely created his own style sound.
