And at the end when I was leaving I heard some fighting so I went back to check out what was goin on. Tons of good people here, yeah there’s a huge tweaker problem and our youth grows more troubled by the day, I grew up here (almost 20 now) and Ive seen a large part of what the new generation has become but there is still good folk here especially out in the country side and even on the redwood side of town you can meet a lot of them.

With a 4S 4500 average flight time is 5-6 minutes. Less in freezing conditions. I've flown at 34 degrees Fahrenheit for 4 minutes after pre-heating/warming the batteries.
Too many things on radio, maybe you need inspire radio control its all..

I continue to be amazed at your drone work, John. Am discovering ones from 2014 that have not recorded to be viewed by anyone. IE Robertson Bridge on the Rogue. I greatly enjoy to the utmost the myriad of your drone contributions. My latest video was the Balloon & Kite Festival at Lambert Park in June, 2017. Balloons were canceled due to high winds, but did get much footage of Kites of all kinds and most of all the flight of the AMERICAN FLAG. Had my heart set on a balloon ride to capture the mountains encircling Grants Pass. But then I discovered, for the first time, how terrifically marvelous this option was covered by DRONES. And now you know the rest of my story. Bill Cadman.

That LAZY guy I am associated with has yet to make a DVD from video camera....... Will be absolutely certain to advise you when this event gets published on UA-cam. Have NOT done any drone work as yet, but will phone you at your land line {which I have} when I can ask many intelligent questions. To me it depends on what you want to do with the Lightbridge. For me it was worth it for taking photos and video. If you are looking for using it for FPV I think there is too much latency.

It's a great place there. The boat launch is still there and people fish there all the time.

So, 6 months later, how do you like the setup? I have the same bird, but haven't decide on FC, was leaning toward Pixhawk but haven't ruled out Naza. What do you think? Thanks
Thanks for your comment. I like this setup very much. The only thing I've changed are the propeller type to a more efficient one. It's a little heavy with this configuration so flights times are not long with 4500 mAh 4S LiPos but definitely useable. I'm using a Naza V2 and although I'm interested in Pixhawk, I do not have experience to make a judgement to share with you. The Naza works well with the LightBridge since both are DJI and I had several other airframes with Naza so that's why I chose it again. I hope thins helps. Good luck with your build!

Edgardo Aponte I’m using the OpenPilot CGS version 14.10 on OS X version 10.10.4 and all I need to do is start the OpenPilot GCS, then plug in the OpenPilot board via USB then click the connect button.

Congratulations. It's a tough hobby and an expensive one. Try to fly every day or use a simulator. A couple months ago I managed my first loops and inverted. Man that felt great! Lose the training gear right away, don't rely on something that imparts unwanted vibration and is a crutch.

HI JOHN could you let me know how you set up your dx7se, I have the se and can't set up fail safe, your set up details would help, please i have a dji f 450 with fat shark, looking forward to flying but not without fail safe thanks gary,
Hi @MGazz56- I set a spare switch, in my case the top right (shoulder) hold/rudder dir switch, to initiate the fail-safe on the DJI Naza-M by programming a mix on the DX7SE. I didn't make a video on the procedure but I think there are some on UA-cam.
