im so glad this video found me. ive been so out of whack recently and unmotivated, all i can seem to allow myself to do is scroll mindlessly. ill take this video as a sign to work on my goals and find a job or something. wish me luck, ill go take a walk :)
You 100% got this ! & hey - rest is also equally as productive so I wouldn’t be hard on yourself !:)
I love your channel! wanna be yt friends?I just subbed 💕💕
omg I'm so glad i found this video! I just started a new job today after coming out of a huge bedridden state due to chronic illness & depression, and to be honest I had a really bad day and feel like I found myself in another toxic work environment. This video really helped me feel like it's okay if I need to let this job go and find one better suited for my personality/lifestyle/sensitive nature and that I haven't "failed" just because my first try back out there didn't go as well as I planned. I hope you're doing well and that you love the job you're starting! sending love xx
Absolutely ! You keep searching for that more aligned job - it’s out there for sure ! Thank you so much ❤️

Wow dude. This has been me since like 2015. I canned all my old friends as I realized that I wanted more, and that they weren’t serving me. All they liked was drinking and partying (typical Indian friends) but I hated it man. Now I’ve been like a loner and just hang out with my brother, family etc but it gets really lonely. I do yearn for proper relationships. I don’t know how to even make new friends. I’m 30 now so I’m just okay what the fuck should I do
Aw!! Much love from a fellow Punjabi here in SURREY BC 💞 I wouldn’t have known you were Punjabi if it wasn’t for you wearing your Kara 😅
Haha awww thank u❤️❤️ hehe yes I have been wearing a Kara my whole life hahah! :)

Your main point that we should be trying to heal and grow individually and as a society I agree with 💯. It does seem like maybe you are mixing some of these things up though, and maybe making it sound a bit more mystical than it is. Generational trauma is traumatized people raising children and traumatizing the next generation, because they didn't work through their trauma. At least partially because they did not have the resources (different kinds of therapy, more understanding of trauma, and less stigma around mental health) available to help with their mental health that we have now. Generational trauma is a term sometimes used interchangeably with institutional trauma. Trauma of marginalized groups who inherit trauma of the previous generation, because the affects persist such as survivors of slavery, holocaust survivors, and Native Americans. Which makes sense since they can overlap. Having trauma reactions, such as breaking down crying for an unknown reason, getting super cold or hot for no biologically based reason, feeling nauseous when triggered, or any other bodily reaction is from your own traumatic experiences. We may not understand where it comes from because we blocked it out, or we were too young to remember. You can likely work through it with a trauma therapist trained in CBT, EMDR, and/or somatic experience. Epigentics is how your genes are expressed because of the way trauma changed the genes of your ancestor before they were passed down to you. You would not break down crying from a traumatic experience of your ancestor, unless perhaps you experienced something similar and were told about their situation, but that is empathy not generational trauma or epigenetics. An example of epigentics is repeated childhood abuse causing the child to have chronically higher levels of cortisol (the stress hormone). The prolonged exposure to high cortisol levels changes their DNA to express high cortisol levels as the bodies new norm. They then pass down those genes when they have children. So their children are more likely to have health issues related to high cortisol levels such as diabetes and high blood pressure even if they are raised in a much healthier, safe, and loving environment. This might be healed/treated through living a healthy lifestyle; getting enough exercise, sleep, healthy foods, and medical intervention as necessary. My sources for reference: Howie H, Rijal CM, Ressler KJ. A review of epigenetic contributions to post-traumatic stress disorder . bro that’s so bs. and u don’t even know what generational trauma means i’m sorry
I smell pseudo science.
Epigenetics is a real thing. Not sure why everyone is commenting like they know everything but don’t even know about the existence of generational trauma passed through genetics.
@@erm492 Probably because she didn't cite a single source.
As a "scientist" in the making: can you list reliable sources and published, peer reviewed articles about this? It's kinda self-defeating to say something has been "proven by scientist" (also, what kind of scientists??) without listing proof. I'll be here waiting
Idk what you mean by mostly set… can’t relate
There’s nothing scientific about anything you just said lmao
I don't think this is preciselyyyy how it works. Its more like "if your ancestors lived through the potato famine, you're more likely to have a slow metabolism"
Here is a reputable source for an overview, but it’s effortless to search the topic and discover all that has been newly learned in this century. One of the hard parts of letting the pain of the past go is attached to people in the family who continue to force others to perform to false stories. Then the trauma reignites and is accompanied by the abusers’ new material. Genetic conditions layer in life are activated by adversity in early childhood, so when you meet a person who can’t walk you know their families are dicks. While trauma is perceived, it’s usually obvious who the abusers are - who has the fewest health issues? The abuser.

Ok people being dicks to their siblings doesn't cause paralysis. Like, to be very clear.
@@carameldare Yes, it does.
Girl a ice cream cone that cost 1£ in 2010 costs 6£ today we are not doin okay
Set? You live with your parents dont you lol.
How you have money? I only just got a job. Been searching for 2 years. Social benefits aren't enough to live off. How you have money? How are you 'set'?!
Honestly, this sounds made up. I think in actuality, we repress a lot of our own emotions and trauma because society tells us to. So when we randomly feel like crying, it's because our stress levels boiling over from everything going on and we can't pinpoint why we feel like crying because it's a multitude of things. Phycologist have said that we feel worse when we go to bed because it's the one place we're not forced to shove our emotions down and move along so, we sit up and think at night because the silence allows those emotions to bubble up.
she is kinda right strtess depression anexity trauma PTSD does change the genetic code that gets translated so yes trauma from our ancestees has an effect on us. and also growing up in a household with PPl that experienced trauma also alters you.
