1986 Evinrude 15 Demo Run
Переглядів 411Місяць тому
I decided to sell my 1986 Evinrude 15 and it decided not to run all that well for the demo ride, but here it is. Even when not running quite right, it's pretty terrifying on a boat that is rated for 8 hp.

I'm selling my 1986 Evinrude 15 hp engine and this is a test run on 11/11/24 in which it wasn't running quite right, sputtered and died once, but then ran fine and pushed my 1958 Feathercraft to a terrifying speed for which it was never designed. The boat is not for sale.
Loxahatchee Kayaking in a Klepper Foldable
Переглядів 552 місяці тому
Kayaking from Jonathan Dickinson State Park boat ramp up the Loxahatchee River and turning up a small tributary into a cypress swamp. Exploring that fuzzy line between fresh and salt water in my Klepper foldable kayak while my wife fished in her BOTE inflatable SUP/Skiff.
Cart Ride During Hurricane Milton 2024

My friend Gene appeared to help when I was battered by hurricane Andrew and again when I was battered by hurricane Charlie so when he asked for a cart ride video of Milton this evening, how could I refuse?
Starr Squirrel Watching At Elijah Clark Park

Some of the squirrels at Elijah Clark State Park are very bold and try to loot campsites as soon as campers' backs are turned but Starr was vigilant and protected our muchies.
Luzerne State Campground NY Boteing

We took one of our Bote Rovers out on the rather unimaginatively named Fourth Lake from campsite 82 at Luzerne State Campground, NY on August 20, 2024.

Walking and biking around Stonington, Maine with my dog, Starr. Oh, and I think my wife was there too!
Cobscook Bay Boteing

Playing with our Bote Rover inflatable SUP's from our campsite at Cobscook Bay State Park at high tide and low tide. It's a long way down the gravel beach at low tide so I sped up the hiking parts.

Tidal Excite!

Playing on the Fundy Bay tidal bore where it enters the Shubenacadie River made me wonder why they call it a "bore" when it seems pretty exciting to me!
Seal Cove Brier Island

We hiked the trail from the mouth of Grand Passage to Seal Cove on Brier Island, Nova Scotia at low tide to watch the seals. They make very funny noises!

Beautiful day watching whales in the Bay of Fundy with Petit Pass whale watchers! We saw some bonus seals on the way home.
Starr vs Binky

Most dogs, including excitable Lab pups, want Starr to calm down a bit. Not Binky. She may be tiny, but we finally found a playmate who matches Starr's energy level!
Digby Whale Watching
Переглядів 5475 місяців тому
Brier Island at the end of Digby Neck, Nova Scotia is home to world-renowned whale watching and we got to go out with noted whale researcher Shelly on the Mega Nova. Low visibility makes it harder to find the whales but we got to see a bit of lunge feeding (not on my video), pec slapping, and just whales on the move looking for food. One of the other whale tour boats got to see a flying Threshe...

Vermilion Snapper Fishing Off Islamorada May 2024
They are precious ❤❤ Merry Christmas to all of you!🎉❤
Dump a can of Seafoam in the gas tank and run it for an hour. That probably won't fix it, but you can say you tried. 😊
What it really needs is running and I sold it to a kid and saw him running it the next day. Life is good.
did your fix work? just curious i love mine
Yes and no. My repairs held but my BOTE kept blowing seams in other places, ultimately unrepairable ones where the upper and lower sections join. It was a messed up BOTE. My wife's BOTE continues to be great and she was out in it the other day. I'm convinced mine was a quality control problem at the factory and also convinced by my wife's boat that they DO know how to build them right. I ended up throwing mine away. We bought both for about what hers is worth, so I got some "free" fun out of it.
That's an awesome cart ride but unfortunately circumstances during it ... I would pay you to go for a ride on that cart!! Thanks for sharing!
Is seal cove near the old and seemingly abandoned lighthouse?
WHY???? I would just destroy it.
how did that mud water taste Tom? lol. Looks like fun.
Slightly salty but the water was warmer than the air.
There are several rafting companies. We went with www.tidalboreadventures.ca/
why was it moved
To prevent conflict with my dogs if it stayed in my yard and with my neighbors if it left. It's in a place with a lot fewer people and dogs.
Thats not how you do it! 🤬
Look at you, the snake expert!
That's how he did it though.....
Ahh…what?
Gg😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😢🎉😢😂🎉🎉😂😢😂😢😮😂😅😊
Cottonmouth 😎 👍
Incredible ride. Looks awesome !
Sorry I missed you! But, I would have either been unable to keep up, or have run aground chasing you into the shallows. That boat looks fun! Sail On!
It's a tandem so you should come along some time!
That would be great! Perhaps after the first hurricane of the season passes by and leaves us a clear sky and fresh breeze!
My son loves his trips to the keys! These guys always take great care of him, and we always have lots of fish to eat for months to come! Can't thank you enough
not a fan of that kind of nope rope. Most others I can play with.
I recommend Moccasins Not Chasing People for the comedy and Cottonmouth Acres for interesting content on FB. This one was a bit too much of a threat to Starr for me. She spotted it and came to a stop a couple of feet in front of it. They were staring each other down when I figured out what she was staring at and called her away. But what if she only spots the tail, thinks it's a lizard, and pounces? I didn't want to risk it.
Very cool. It’s remarkable how high the cottonmouth floats compared to our usual banded and brown water snakes we have around here.
Starr seems surprisingly fine with sharing her pond with the invaders. 😊
She doesn't swim and is kind of afraid of anything that does.
Bummer.
..that's living....
Who needs gaffs or nets?? 😂
Como
I did not know tarpon could thrive in freshwater - until today. Cool!
That was a redfish at the beginning of the video and there are snook and mangrove snapper too, along with blue crabs. We used to have mullet but they are gone and I haven't put more.
@Boatflix All in your freshwater spring fed pond? That is amazing! I guess I never knew what I didn't know. Ha!
@@TomScottMorgan30 I learned that an artesian pond down the street near the water plant had saltwater fish and gave it a shot. It worked. No one is admitting to putting the tarpon in there, of course.
Very nice! Thanks for sharing that. Some of those boats look familiar. I may have seen them many years ago when I dropped in on them at the same place. Good to see them still enjoying themselves! Sail on!
WCTSS is a very active group still with an event every month or so and casual sails in between.
Looking good keep the videos coming! Looks line somewhere in FL....above Ft. Myers?
Wait. Where is Starr??
You took Starr to Sunseeker's? Did she have the steak? 😂
Looking great! Keep the TI videos coming!
That looks like great fun! There is no better place to "enjoy" those winds than your backyard. Sail On Tom!
Strong winds and flat water = max fun
The ability to furl sail on the fly makes these boats very versatile.
That looks like a boat you could enter in the Everglades Challenge!
Dozens of them do. And they do well.
Starr is smart. Otters can be surprisingly fierce if they have to fight. They are cute, agile, cuddly, and will bite your face off. 😅
Every time I see a picture of your pond, I am anticipating Libby jumping into it at any moment. ❤
Tom you have to meet Starr. She doesn't swim but if Libby was Superdog, dog of Steel, she's the new, stronger, lighter carbon fiber version! ;)
@@Boatflix Yes - I will have to meet her!
There's a banjo tune in there, somewhere.
Bicho lindo
Now, off to the local chinese restaurant !!
Snap, looks like a campground/rv park….so the 9mm is out…..thought tucking a skunk tail is puckering
I realize this is a 13-year-old video but I'm trying to turn a 32 ft CNC into a trimaran using Hobie Cat hulls as a donor for the project how would I attach this to the boat itself where it wouldn't rip it apart? I can't find anything on UA-cam about any of it which is unusual for UA-cam
How many feet long was this run?
Wow look at that
thanks
Thanks for sharing!
Great stuff, thanks!
Wayne, one Sun Cat sailor did manage to get his boat blown onto its side but they righted it. The story is somewhere on the Trailer Sailors catboat forum. For more Sun Cat fun, please come to the Sun Cat National Championship Regatta next month.
No record anywhere of a 17' Sun Cat capsizing. It is derived from heavy, shallow keeled workboats that brought its fisherfolk home day after day. I call mine a "roving conversation pit". Plenty of room, stable, no excitement of a boom coming at your because of the high clearance. Quite enough to hear the dolphins puffing as they cruise by. Thanks for sharing your story. Wayne Welch Savannah Ga Coffee Bluff
Jerry Kyker, I do not know. I suggest asking on the Watertribe forum.
Looks fun. Can you tell me the make / model of the sail boat that is in 1:07 and 1:27 of your video? Thanks for sharing.
Freesailer, I believe he used a larger nozzle when spraying gelcoat with that sprayer than the one he used with paint, but the big difference is made by pressurizing the tank to force the gelcoat through. I'd say test your equipment on a sample piece and see.
so much work.. goshhh
