Curious ...so your combined NW ( including house ) is 1 mil or is it 1 mil excluding house ?
I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.
I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.
@@Elliot-Ivan That's actually quite impressive, I could use some Info on your FA, I am looking to make a change on my finances this year as well
@@Margerat-x My advisor is VICTORIA CARMEN SANTAELLA;
You can look her up online
@@Elliot-Ivan The crazy part is that those advisors are probably outperforming the market and raising good returns but some are charging fees over fees that drain your portfolio. Is this the case with yours too?
Nice
Thanks
1.5 percent is a pathetic return. You should hire an advisor. It looked like your investments totaled 890k with a dividend return of 1137 per month which is nothing to live on or brag about.
Thanks for watching
You got me curious now, how does one become a consultant? I believe I have lots of valuable knowledge and experience in personal finance from both the military and civilian sector and would love to share it.
Honestly, this was an amazing video!!! I am currently setting up my newborn with his 529 and custodial accounts so I was looking for a deeper look into that but nonetheless, amazing content!!!
Make a video on investing through only etf and dividend earn plan for 600$ per month
You e done really well! There’s more to life than work. I’m getting ready to retire and move to France, buying my little French cottage all cash, and still working on my budding KDP publishing biz. I want to write, travel, vlog, and enjoy the history and culture of life in Europe. I will keep an address in the USA so I can keep my savings invested.
Great video!!
Thank you!
I agree that networking is huge especially in financial services/banking. I constantly run into former colleagues every time I get a new job. Former colleagues have also connected me with hiring managers which have led to me receiving job offers as a result. It always feels more comfortable/less risky to hire someone that is somewhat familiar via a colleague who has already worked with them before.
Such an important part 👍🏾👍🏾
That´s pretty cool to see what´s gonna be happen with that ETF-Fonds in the US including smal costs. In the Europe we can´t trade this ETF´s ´cause it´s not conform with eu-standards. Investing and blowing up huge income isn´t as simple here as in the US. :-/
Hi Dear , how can a non residence USA can invest in USA stock market....
In this example is the person living in the Us?
Hey , really nice video ! I was wondering if I could help you with more Quality Editing in your videos and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail which will help your videos to reach to a wider audience ? Pls let me know what do you think ?
Thank you for reaching out. As of this moment, we aren’t looking but keep this in mind in the future
@@permissiontobewealthy Sure , thankyou very much
Thank you for such a great video! I've watched a lot of these type of video and your demeanour and style is easily the best. Great story, too! Thanks for putting in the work!
Thank you very much
Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got to talking about investment and money. I started investing with $150k and in the first 2 months, my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and get more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family
@keanureeves316 However, if you do not have access to a professional like JUDITH ANN PEACE, quitting your job to focus on trading may not be the best approach. It is important to consider all options and seek guidance from reliable sources before making any major decisions. Consulting with an AI or using automated trading systems can also be helpful in managing investments while balancing other commitments

Yes I'm starting to feel this way becoming a mom and then being pregnant repeatedly. I'd like to be more of a present wife and mom.
Congratulations on your debt free millionnaire family! so proud of you! inspirational! We are working on our journey as well! Were homeless in 2020 living out of a car and between the two of us, 6 jobs later, now moved into a new home, got a new car, climbing stock, and tackling our debt, hope to have a strong testimony soon!
Big congratulations to you guys! Keep up the great work and thank you for your kind words!
😂 83,000 a year? I had to rewind that and actually look at the video
Yeah…. My brain and words weren’t in sync 😂 thank goodness for disclaimers and kind viewers who understand:)
@@permissiontobewealthy 🙂💗
Thank you for the great video, I really appreciate it. And if I may intrude... May I know how much time you all spent to get to where you are today with that amount in your portfolio? I am just starting out to learn about investment and to be frank, after seeing such a large amount invested does feel kind of a little discouraging considering I am in my late 20s. I apologize in advance if it is too sensitive a question to ask.
Hello and welcome! First of all… being in your late 20s and getting into the real learning and investing mode is GREAT! We worked 17+ years and were investing and increasing our income over that time. We have over $1m (we don’t share full specifics) but I will say that getting started with what you can… consistently is huge.
@@permissiontobewealthy thank you so much 😊😊
you are very welcome @@LapexAgends
How often would you recommend posting?
We are trying to post 2xs a week at this time
How do I figure out how to save enough to buy a home, but also put money into my savings. Can you make a video based on different salaries discussing how much to save in what category? I'm 29 years old, make $80k salary, have $45,000 in 401k and IRA and pretty much nothing saved for a house. I'm investing 20% into my 401k. I'll have my car paid off in about 4 months, then I'm not sure what to do. I was thinking of upping 401k and IRA contribution to hit the yearly max contribution. I don't like the idea of putting my money into the bank for a house as I feel it's losing value there, but I'll never be able to afford a house with such aggressive retirement savings, I think. Help!
Thank you so much for the response and information. First of all, you are doing great! And 2nd we can definitely make another video on this specific scenario. One thing I will say is look at HYSAs… they are giving 4ish percent APR right now with inflation the way it is. So when you start that account for your shorter term house goal, that can still help your money at least retain some value inflation wise. More to come!
Disagree about paying off your mortgage if your rate is really low.
Personal finance is personal :)
@@permissiontobewealthy sure is
Paying off your mortgage just feels good. Not the best financial decision but it is freeing.
Yes… we did it with our last home and it was so freeing
8300 vs 83k @ 0:38… otherwise thanks for the data
Yeah 🤦🏽♀️ hence the notation. Thank you so much for watching!
Are these amounts referencing your 401k balance by age?
These amounts reference a balance over all… it was recommended at the start that the 25 y.o. Consider investing in a ROTH IRA and then we introduced the 401k at age 40…. I’d say this would be a mix of both for the purposes of this discussion. And we could take it even further in a future video showing how a 401k match would work as well. Does that help?
Thank you
Well, I guess I'm just poverty level because these numbers aren't very realistic for the cards I've been dealt.
2:20 When you say save 15% of income does it includes investment too
When I reference 15% savings, that is an assumption of what you should be putting into your investments to cover your retirement goals. (Not referencing any investment gains or income in this video)
I am confused on what it means to roll over a 401k
Hi! When you leave an old employer you have three option… leave your 401k with them, roll it over to your new employer 401k or roll it over into a self directed option. This video is all about what the pros and cons are of rolling it over or not .. hope this helps!
Hi Stephanie and Joseph, I'm wondering if you can do a video about investing as a nonresident. Any information is appreciated!

Could you please provide similar guidance for HSA accounts?
Hello! We are happy to do an HSA full explainer.. are there any specific questions you have?
@@permissiontobewealthy I would love to understand how to merge the HSA accounts. It seems like every job provides a separate HSA, sometimes in the same institution but different accounts. What are the best HSA accounts with good investing options and low fees? How to use HSA as additional investment vehicle? Thank you :)

Right back at you!
I love when youtubers call themselves retired lol, thats a JOB, that is not retired
Haha…it’s a fun one though for a semi-retired “old” guy. 😂
I also am a teacher, I appreciate all your information and tips. It does seem much easier to reach FIRE when one has a multi triple digit figure income for years. Not living in the U.S. likely has alot to do with becoming FIRE also. Look forward to watching more of your videos.
Thank you for your message. One of the big accelerators for us yes, was increasing our income .. over 17 years and it was some work. I will say that TIME is you biggest asset when it comes to investing as well so starting as early as one can is very important as well. Thank you for being here and we will keep the tips coming!!
Great points. I enjoyed your video.

How do you like living in Portugal?
Great question. We are actually here on a D7 visa which allows us to be here 2 years at a time and after year 5 we can apply for full residency.
The Govt is lying to us about how high inflation really is!!!
It will be interesting to see it all play out in the coming years for sure.
Loving the channel and content - y'all are doing a really great job of breaking this down! I'm another sad ex-Mint user, but I just started a trial of Monarch Money and it honestly has everything Mint had and more. Whether it's worth the annual fee is a personal decision for everyone, but it has the simplicity of Mint that I loved, along with the flexibility of a spreadsheet to create whatever categories/plans/etc I need.
Oh I love that! Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 💭
I'm the guy who keeps saying 'one more year' :) Could we retire now? Yes, we can, but we didn't have our child until we were in our 40s. And until our kid goes to college, which is still about 11 years away, I was just planning to work until then. I work for the federal government, so I have good job security, and I can contribute 'more' to our future pension. This video is making me wonder whether I should consider walking away little earlier.. hmm.
Thanks for sharing! If you don’t mind your job or love it and there is no pressure to walk away there may not be a reason to leave. However, I think knowing your numbers is really important so you know your options are. Be sure to checkout the free resources in the description to get a bit more clarity. #AnotherOldGuyWithKids 😂
Im hoping we have a Country in 5 yrs so I can get my SS!
