Wish they would start making the #SunDolphinPro120 again. I've been looking all over for one of these little fishing boats. None of the other #SunDolphin boats have the features this one does. Sun Dolohin Website now says "discontinued".

With 2 adults and ANY waves at all or boats near by, you will have to watch the front of this boat. You will constantly have to arch and able the front to the coming waves. And yes I am referring to a lake. Three people really is not an option. If the lake is choppy at all, you will have to be real careful. Definitely take a cup or small pale to get the water out the front of the boat. And when leaning forward to do it, the front will dip more and will have to watch any waves at all or you will be getting more in for doing so than getting out by leaning forward with a pale. It can be nice, but it is NOT a 3, 4 or 5 person anything.

I only have a 12 1/2 shoe and they don't fit without bending the toes back (I like to wear water shoes because of the sharps rocks I have to walk on when getting in and out). The plastic is thicker than the other brands (Pelican for example). I have no creases or bad scratches. It tracks good in the lakes I take it to. The water proof compartment is actually waterproof. The only reason I could see someone putting terrible reviews on this item is because they wanted to get the quality of a fiberglass kayak without spending the money. That won't happen. It's wonderful for recreational use but wouldn't be for sporting.*

The various attachments are water resistant but not water proof. If you store it right side up water will pool and seep inside. That's easy to take care of. There are 2 drain ports for the inside one at the bow and one at the stern (front and back). Worth every penny. Remember do not drag on pavement of gravel the hull will scratch. Grass is fine.*

I used to use old Kayaks at my friends’ pond beach..........but when I bought this thing and took it out I realized its an absolute monstrosity out there. Goes so much faster and when I really kick into 5th gear I leave a little mini wake behind me and I even get the bow to jump up a bit. So glad I got this thing.

question. I put mine in the water with just me, a battery; no other gear; let's say 250 lbs total. It rocks quite a bit as I am walking around. Does it stabilize more when its loaded down causing it to sit lower in the water?

well ordered this kayak, then saw the seat issues with the heat , i hope its been addressed being 100 here this week. guess ill try it in the pool first. find out on the 5th when it arrives.

Been using and abusing this canoe for 8 years so far on rivers lakes, on 1 day trips to 2 week trips, fishing from it, snorkelling from it, using a tarp to make a shelter from it, I absolute love it! One criticism I have is the weight it's quite heavy however I can still manage this myself solo although others may not, the extra weight it's what gives it the strength and durability to take what ever I through at it, I have destroyed canoes and kayaks double and 3 times the price over the years. It is what it is... reliable!

It is the Aruba 10 with rod holders added. Wish I would've seen this when shopping for my Aruba 10, but I can add a couple rod holders and call it good.

Have this boat, very light and very stable , well thought out and good build quality. Highly recommend. Mines electric only , twin batteries and front and rear mounted trolling motors. Added a depth finder , all I need to fish with.

I do not have a social media account, but I figured I would drop a note here. I LOVE YOUR COMPANY AND YOUR BOATS. I vigilantly defend Sunny D's name, integrity and quality. I thank you for making your product design simple and affordable. If it wasn't for you guys, I may not be paddling today. You guys are USA made and somehow figured out how to keep your prices competively low. I wish everyone one else could follow your business model. While it is true that your boats are low cost and simplistic (particularly the old models), I appreciate having an open canvas to work with and can customize to my liking. I have two of your boats. Although discouraged, both are modified responsibly. I am looking to buy into another brand soley for the reason of graduating my skill, streamlining the boats profile and increasing length. Still, I will not part with my Sunny D's currently owned. In fact I may expand my fleet by purchasing another. My inexperienced friends and family feel secure in the Aruba 10, and feel confident as I show them the ropes and train them in paddling. Definately a must for entry level. No other boat as stable. However, these boats reach well into intermediate use.

Do you think 1 adult and 2 children could ride on this boat? My daughter and one of her friends is lighter than me taking another adult my size. Thinking could setup a center bench in the middle of the boat between the front and back... maybe just a foot wide... something another person could straddle. I'm checking one of these used one's out tomorrow. Looks like a great litte boat.
