thats a good drill to get down, but also reload drills are another good one to do at home as well as clearing a fake jam to get your self use to the motions of clearing the weapon
You’re right! But there’s more in the full video dropping tomorrow so make sure to come back 🙌🏻
👍

Rotating your head like some kinda NPC robot isn't working
I know it’s very distracting & it’s something I’m actively trying to correct. More goes on in the recording seat than what meets the eye so it’s one of many things I have to improve on with time. Thanks for the feedback!
It might sound stoopid, but picking up a Gas BlowBack or Electric BlowBack airsoft rifle is a good alternative for them folks living in cities n such, where range time also costs a fee. GBB in particular mimicks the recoil and empty mag state better than EBB, but EBB is notably cheaper and you don't have to buy (cheap asf) green gas or CO2.
Very good point! However nothing can truly replicate real recoil so you’d have to get to the range at some point. The good news is the majority amount of training can be done at home without ammo ✅ recoil is the feedback that shows us what we’re training on at home is correct

With Glocks, point with your thumbs. With 1911s and most semi-autos, point with pointer finger AND thumbs. Try it and watch your grip angle naturally shift.
Good word!
This won’t last long promoting a dangerous act
Practice at the range or at home with a spent casing is preferred. Besides, it can’t be that dangerous if you’re allowed to do this at pro competition matches
Remember to release the slide quickly. Or you will have a failure to feed.
Right but this is typically done to clear your handgun without a mag in it if that make sense
Great video!
Thanks! Hope you found it helpful

Everything you say is correct, but there's another issue, natural point of aim. I notice you're using a Glock. Glocks in particular, with their wonky grip angle, have a point of impact that does not correspond to most people's natural point of aim. With your eyes closed, bring the gun up into your eyeline as you would normally present it. Then open your eyes. The sights (iron or red dot) should be pretty closely aligned to the target. If they're not, you're likely using the wrong gun for you, and you should find one where this happens.
I’ve heard of this before so I do I understand what you’re saying. Yeah Glocks can be a bit tricky to work with but I think it comes down to training frequency and building muscle memory. I notice that when I’m not dry firing as frequently the pieces start to fall apart a little at the start of my session and I have to rebuild that muscle memory for the grip angle. By the end of my session I’m normally pretty solid. I personally wouldn’t tell a new shooter to ditch their Glock after their first couple session if they’re having issues; maybe after an extended period of time and dedication to training if they’re still experiencing those problems then maybe they can look at other options. So in simple terms things like these, yes, can be headaches, but still manageable. What are your thoughts?
@@RangeRulerz You can train to overcome almost anything. But why make that process more difficult, when getting a properly pointing pistol can eliminate a good chunk of the problem. If I was training a new shooter, I'd show them how to check natural point of aim before they bought a gun, and tell them to buy one that matches theirs
No I get that. I meant that if someone already had a Glock, & like myself, didn’t really understand point of aim until later on. That’s all

Nice BUT!!! Definitely not an RMR killer for sure
I respect your position. I think for some people it comes down to some lacking features on the RMRs, *cough* “no side battery port”
❤
❤️❤️
Press forward always a better option for me cuz the gun is more likely to be on target even before I see the sights
Good word; I actually addressed that point in the full video. I’ve practiced with both, bowling has just felt more natural to more and I don’t have to think about it as much. I seem to do pretty good with sight picture. What do you think, personal preference or no?
@@RangeRulerz yea I hear you I think just that way being instilled in me from a young age it’s just muscle memory for me now but yea def personal preference
Nice and infomative video. Thanks
Absolutely! Hope it helps you
❤
❤️❤️
I will whine, groan, moan, and complain every day that Trijicon’s are more expensive, and that the RMR’s need to be removed to replace the battery. I will always hate those things about it. But I refuse to pay China in anyway that has to do with protecting myself, or my family. I 100% understand that a holosun will likely always do the job and meet the demand I would ever need, but it’s simply a principle.
I completely get where you're coming from-it's frustrating when you have to spend more for products that still don’t have the best features. That said, I respect your stance on avoiding certain brands based on principle, especially when it comes to protecting yourself and your family. It’s all about what aligns best with your values. Thanks for sharing your perspective!

When you are properly gripping and staging the mag for replacement insert, where you had your finger on the front of the mag, that is indexing. Indexing is proper finger position as a part of your staging for reload. Said the same thing two ways. Good morning.
You’re right! I later found this out. Turns out I already knew what it was called but didn’t fully realize it. Anyhow, thanks for informing me!

Great option for a home defense light ..I have one on a czp10c…..it is still kinda big though but good holster and it’s not too bad appendix carry ..✌🏻

St. Anger?
It’s a tattoo I got 4 years ago to testify about God and overcoming my battle with anger I struggled a lot with when I was younger. Not quite where I want to be but surely not where I used to be. We’re all a work in progress. I also used to have an obsession with Metallica when I was younger - hence “st anger”

Good tips but hard to take advice from someone who is bowing and swinging the gun up on the draw rather than pressing out. HSP has a good video on this, I'll link it if I can find it
I appreciate your input! I'm glad you found some value in the video. I would like to ask why you feel my credibility is judged solely by the presentation of my weapon? If my credibility is determined by how I present my handgun then I would argue that you are focusing too much on lesser important matters. When it comes to shooting handgun the key fundamentals like trigger control, grip, stance, and sight alignment are the key elements that make the biggest difference in accuracy and effectiveness. If you are referring to Haley Strategic, firstly I’m vaguely familiar with his brand. I do believe he has a background in the military if I’m not mistaken? With that in mind the way he presents may be what he was taught - but I could be wrong! Nevertheless, I believe one’s presentation comes down to personal preference. For my training purposes my focus is to get my gun up as quickly and efficiently as possible and ensure a consistent sight alignment. If I was trying to draw and shoot behind cover, that’s where I may switch things up. In the end, it's about consistent, accurate results, and that's what I “aim” to help others achieve.
@@RangeRulerz Thanks for the reply. Yes, I'm referring to Haley Strategic Partners, but most instructors will teach this as well. When you swing the gun up from the bottom, they call it bowling, when it's swung from the top down (which is more old school and not seen a lot anymore, but people still do it) they call it fishing, like how you cast a rod. This isn't a huge deal on the flat range, but can be a big problem during a real life defensive situation when stress, adrenaline, and fine motor skills deteriorate, and every second counts. Think of your line of sight as a straight plane to the target, as you know you will be target/threat focused, and you bring your sights onto that plane in line with your eyes and the target. When you bowl or fish, especially during a time of stress like when your life is on the line and someone is trying to kill you, that swing motion is overdone, due to being scared, stressed, and in a hurry, and what happens is you swing above that line, don't see your sights, then swing down to try to correct, you swung too low, now you have to swing up again. So it creates a mini back and forth of trying to find your sights/dot, and can cost you time. Instead, when you bring the straight gun up to that plane and then push straight out, you have a sight picture well before your arms are pressed out. This helps you maintain a sight picture sooner, fine tune the alignment (if needed) on the press out, and gives you the option to even shoot sooner since your sights are already aligned on the plane. This will also speed up your shots on the range because you're getting your sight picture much sooner, and can start prepping the trigger as your arms are not even fully pressed out. So when you arms do reach full press out, the trigger breaks and you hit your target because you had a sight picture so early on in the process. I hope I'm making sense, I'll try to find the video and I'll share if I find it. You do have some good tips in the video, we can always improve our technique and learn from each other. Thank you for the video edit: here's the video I was referring to, it's actually not HSP but from Magpul Dynamics back with Travis Haley taught for them. ua-cam.com/video/GRCOi8IeLPI/v-deo.html
Mate, your points are fair but that glock you are reffering to as gucci is not gucci, but appropriately accessorized
Right, which I know that. I was using it as an example to make my point. If you watch the full video you’ll notice how I made the point that there’s certainly way more “Gucci” that you can put into a Glock that what I have on mine
@@RangeRulerz Sure thing mate, I respect your point, I just want to point out that newcomers might get confused about what is or isn not "gucci". I dont want to split nails, just wanted to give my two cents about what should be deemed gucci. in my opinion when aesthetics become more important than function.
I agree. Thank you for your input!

So i have some insight on this topic its somthing i have dealt with for years. I bought a kagwerks lever for my g19 and that worked very well and solved my problem, but when i put the kagwerks on my PSA dagger, i got ALOT of slide locks (when i didnt want them). The kagwerks will only work depending on the grip style of the pistol. The psa dagger frame is very narrow and therefore even with the kagwerks slide lock, i still induce malfuctions due to my grip high. So, kagwerks works for g19., but not psa dagger. You should just get good at racking when you reload unfortuantly.
That’s unfortunate to hear, did you reach out to kagwerks support about the issue? They should be able to help in some way. I haven’t experimented with any of their products yet.

Awesome setup! I’m running a G19.5 x Holosun SCS MOS x TLR-7A x T1C Axis Elite holster!
Thanks, you’ve got a pretty slick set up yourself. How do you like that holster?
@@RangeRulerz The Axis Elite holster is great in comfort and conceals the firearm really well. I carry it depending on where I am and time of day. I also have T1C Xiphos Elite for lighter carry days at the gym or close by groceries for example.
That’s great. I’ll probably end up checking out these other companies to see what they have to offer too
If you mount the red dot near the front sight, instead of the rear sight, you should be able to find the red dot as easy as finding an iron front sight. I think in the future, people will be mounting a Red Dot near the front sight if they can find a holster.
Interesting thought. Maybe you should mill out a slide of your own and try it to see how it works
@@RangeRulerz Empire has something called KAGE Compensator System for Colt Python. This adds a pic rail on top of the entire barrel. At first, I mounted a red dot at the rear end of the pic rail and I had a hard time finding the red dot consistently. Then, I moved the red dot way up front and realized that I do not need to make any special effort to find the red dot. I just point and it's right there. I decided to try this because I remembered seeing some people mounting a red dot way up front on a hunting revolver and I was wondering why they do that. The same logic should apply to semi-auto pistols.
Regarding the deterrence factor, I live in a Constitutional Carry state that is consistently rated as having one of the lowest per capita crime rates and rated in the top ten of safest places in the country. Contrast that with a neighboring state with restrictive laws and a higher per capita crime rate.
Right. It’s crazy to see how those polar opposites work out
The Glock 19 will be relevant in 2094
Probably so!
under rated thanks bro
I appreciate that. You bet! 👍🏻
