a bit different from the raw blues but well renditioned and reimagined
Beautiful rendition 🎉
Lovely
It's a hornpipe being played at hornpipe speed, thank God.
Gorgeous!
Not irish though....
Where's it from? I looked it up and everywhere seems to say its Irish.. though of course folk music just often just travels about and ends up getting associated with somewhere it didn't necessarily originate from!
@@ruoshea I may have been a bit hasty on this one. Lots of English tunes get called Irish when clearly they aren't. Eg. Durham Rangers. Look up Lads of North Tyne, a Northumbrian tune 😉
@@eldendir listening to it right now, the same tune indeed! I'd love to visit Northumbria at some stage to do a folk music tour
I play whistle and when I started I used Pauline Cato's book of Northumbrian tunes. Some good tunes in there....
Lovely..🪕🪕🪕🪕🪕🪕🪕🪕🪕🪕🪕🪕
Cheers man. Your music is awesome
I've listened to many versions of this song. Your pacing and enunciation make understanding the lyrics much easier for a non-native speaker.
An mhaith :) that's cool, cheers bud
Beannachtí mhacha daoibh.
Agus dhuit fhéin :)
Well done ☘️🍻
Go raibh maith agat :)
Isle of Tenerife, Spain, Africa. Again, great melodies, excellent musicianship, but continuing to slaughter the Gaelic language, both in pronunciation and in spelling. Why not sing in a language they know, or else learn (at least enough to properly pronounce and spell) the language they want to sing in? Best wishes, Patchy.
Is e Gaeilge ár teanga, mo cara. Níl amid líofa fós, ach táimid ag deanamh iarracht mór 'Slaughter' seems a bit strong! But sure look. Cheers for the musical compliment, slán leat
