Hey! That sounds a bit on the expensive side but maybe it works differently with taxes in Sweden. Thinkpads in general are built to last long, plus it is hard to get this kind of a port selection on a laptop of this dimension these days. If I were buying one today, I'd also look at the Gen 2 that just launched, or maybe go for the 8 core variant. My device is working great. It runs all the time and I have no complaints.

Hey, you're too kind for writing that, thank you. Yeah I think the USB cable does come with the box. Regarding the red/blue keycaps, did you contact the seller? Maybe it was a mistake. Also, did you receive the key extraction tool (it comes in the same package as the keys)? I'd not be too disappointed with the lack of red blue keys as the bulk of the value of this keyboard is in the board itself and honestly the red blue keys are way lower in quality compared to the rest of this thing. Personally, I'll look for some nicer looking aftermarket keys at the one year point of ownership to mix things up a bit. Cheers!

@@anagekar Hi! Thanks for letting me know that the alternates were a lower quality - I assumed they were the same as the main caps. I did get a response from Jack at ikbc, and he had this to say: “Now we are use new PBT double shot keycap so we have stopped to offer the blue and red extra keycaps in MF108V3 and MF87 V3.” Were the alternates a different material, like ABS? Either way, you’re entirely correct in that I will be looking for some new keysets. However, I’m still not over how good this keyboard feels - the metal case is a delight to type on, so I’ll stay with the stock caps for now. Thanks for responding, and have a good day!

@@jewishkidney yeah, I think they are ABS (although I'm no expert in these things, they just felt more plasticy). Yep, I know it feels very good, definitely an delight to type on. I hope you continue to enjoy your keyboard and setup for whatever it is you do. Cheers mate!

hey, I've not measured it formally but it certainly takes around an hour if not less (I don't run it off battery all that much tbh) to charge from 20s to 80s. But note that there's a setting which limits the max charge percentage (to extend battery life). For example, my battery automatically stops charging at 80% and starts when the charge drops to 60 again. Maybe you have that enabled?

@@anagekar thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I have the battery threshold disabled as well as airport power mode and always on usb. Maybe this problem will disappear in the next charging cycles. Can I ask you a last question? How is your led colour on the side of the laptop when the battery is fully charged? Mine always remained orange

@@HackerMan46 hey, no worries man. The LED changes to white when fully charged. Yeah, probably wait for a couple of charge cycles and then ask for support. Maybe it is a normal run in process. Sorry I could not be of much help here.

@@anagekar you've been very helpful, thanks a lot. Apparently with the second cycle the problem disappeared and it completed the charge to 100% in 1h45min approximately. The only thing that it's still weird is the fact that the led becomes white after an hour, when the battery it's still at around 90% so I can't be sure if it's really fully charged unless I start it

@@HackerMan46 Glad to her :) I'd imagine it is just battery miscalculation. Just give it 4-5 charge cycles and it might be accurate after that

@Noah Vejar yep, they do, & yet there's no pics of the KB C port or new C connector there either. <shrugs> Honestly, either way it's a great KB, but even with a rubber connector cable it'd be better imho.

Hey buddy, I'll write some positives and negatives (for me, of course). Positives: - Looks cool, especially at night. Really makes you want to type on it. The feel, clickiness, key positioning is really good. - Solid and sturdy on the desk, doesn't move around. - Being a non Windows user, LED control on the keyboard itself is a boom. Once you get used to the controls, it is much easier - There aren't any places that you start seeing after a month or two where corners seem to have been cut. It feels as solid and premium as it did on day 1. Negatives - I think 108 keys is not for me, I'd go for a TKL/60% over this any day as I hardly ever use the num pad and I accidently hit the keyboard with my mouse all the time - The weight does become a restricting factor when you want to do little adjustments to the position. - The black color really attracts dust and ends up looking grey-ish if you don't clean it every 3-4 days (depends on how much dust you get) - I wish there were some more macro keys that I could program from my OS for utilities. It has a calc key that I'm using for terminal, but more would've not hurt :) Finally, it is a solid product that does what it says on the box. A bit boring in that there aren't any surprises, but I see that as a feature. If I had an option right now, I'd just go for the smaller MF87 by the same brand or the same sized ones from Leopold for the reasons mentioned above.

hey! it is 1080p IPS low power 400 nits. I have no complaints with it, and no dead pixels. It is from AUC or something, but not a bad panel for sure. No ghosting, but loads of light bleed.

@@anagekar but in India, I guess lenovo is providing only WVA panel with 250 nits :(

@@akhandalpanda1725 Aah, that's a bummer. 250 nits is a bit low for anything but indoors. Maybe wait a bit for them to stock up? I can't imagine them just skipping their most popular display type altogether.

Hey! The battery leaves something to be desired, imho. If that's a priority to you, maybe look into the t14s model as that has a slightly bigger battery (esp if you're maxing out the ram from factory anyway) and better build. Other than that, it is a solid laptop. If you use Linux, then many rough edges there (minor, but still annoying little issues, nothing deal breaking) but that's usual with new laptops and are usually fixed as time passes. It is not the laptop's fault, of course, but good to be aware. I'm a web developer myself, and use this as my primary machine without any problems

@@nikitaf8895 You've put it perfectly. I've wasted more hours on this than I'd like to admit, and I think it is a decent laptop. It sits nicely between the very powerful but cheap feeling gaming ones and the previous gen dell xps with their throttling and heating issues. But again, like you said, pick a compromise that you can live with.

Yes, since more than a month now (ordered in mid June). You might have to pay 16% vat tho. Not sure how much that is in the Netherlands.

I really envy those campus offers, especially for the option to get it without windows

Also, the price is ~ EUR 1250. You could have it for ~ EUR 1125 if you avoid getting the Windows 10 license. Here in Germany they have something called Campus offers for students which further lowers the price by a couple of hundred euros. See if there's something like that in India if you're a student.

I come up with finding an error ... error is in 100th line .... fr = new PersonRecognizer(mpath); And fr.load(); If you comment these spets it will stop adding them to the data base or wherever it is saving.... but wil not crash ... try to find error and resolve it... and help me too
