It didn't matter for the game state, but with mono red I like bouncing their non haste creates. The 1 HN takes them to 3 and then if their last card is a removal spell they're still dead-on board. If they had two untapped blockers bouncing both HNs would have been a great way to burn them out. This Town is a super flexible card like that. Perhaps your line is better as they could have offspringed the mouse if they replayed it had their life total been higher.

do you think so? Honestly now having played with the cards I think they executed better than we thought they would. Nothing stands out as egregious. That said, I would still rather cards rotate more often, and I'm still very concerned about the ever-increasing card pool.

it's so good. I (Kyle) just drafted a disgusting green/white deck. I always avoid that color pair, but it was the open lane. 7-1 and most games weren't even a little close. Just when I thought I had dsk figured out a new deck fell into my lap. Thanks for the comment!

I know. Could have really used them to close out the game. I think it speaks to the overall card quality in the deck though. You're not just dead in the water without certain cards. thanks for the comment btw!

Interesting list. Is it really worth it to splash red for Warleader's Call? Do you notice that one card is worth the red mana?

@ oh yeah its worth it. i mean, its one of the wincons in your deck as well. and i find it really worth splashing for because all my lands produce white mana. and ive found with this spread (i mean im even splashing for a (G) sorcery lol) that mana screw mostly isnt a problem. if you like hare apparent as a card, maybe youll enjoy building all the different lanes you could pick with that.

I think that build your describing is probably more reliable for wins. Still would make me sweat when I see them drop that 5th land and get sunfall'd right out the game though. Such is life of aggro/midrange now.

You should! It's one of the most fun piles we've played in a while. It is impossible to Harmless Offering someone and not laugh.

So the viewer can see the pack better I assume? We like having the mana curve and interaction broken out like Paul Cheon does in his videos. Just helps us make better picks. Totally get why some people might not like that though.

@@TheSplinterTwins it makes perfect sense to be able to see the mana curve, but yes for the view experience, like hovering over the card when you're talking about it. I know it makes your job harder.

I did, but Raise the Past won't get it back and ideally on turn 3 we want to play a 1 & 2 as opposed to a three. Feel like Delney would just eat the removal they're saving from not using on our other dorks.

Mark really did call that one in our Duskmourn predictions video. I'm mean look what it did at the Pro level. Just a really good card.

oh that. Great trick we learned watching Paul Cheon. If put t: cr into the search bar your cards will breakout like that. creatures on top, other spells on bottom.

The Marvin thing sounds hilarious, but we need to build a whole new shell for that, I think. Sounds awesome. What would you cut for the Lackey?

@@StellaBravo-q7s no problem at all. Nothing more frustrating than crafting a deck, only to find it sucks. We just want to entertain you. No reason we can’t do that while persevering your wildcards.

Came to say the same; tapping better would have meant casting Jace on an empty board or the token to block.

the decklist in the description is a much better version. It wins more, but not enough to be viable. Currently, I think that is the right balance for alternate win cons.

we haven't had viable win con that isn't dmg or mil in a while. I agree I would like to see another creep up to at least Tier 2. Thanks for the comment!

@TheSplinterTwins I tried to post the link, but it got deleted. It's a fairly standard list, I believe, but hyper aggressive and contains a flavorful copy of Anzrag as a sort of 5th FOMO.

I'd give that a shot for sure. I might cut one Krenko and go up a land, but I'd need to pay first. Krenko seems pretty key to the soul cauldron plan. Thanks for the list and the sub!

@@TheSplinterTwins ty for showing me Dropkick Bomber, didn't even know it was a card swapped for the Adaptive Automaton because you can 'draw' Dropkick Bomber with Rundvelt Hordemaster, and the 3 toughness doesn't hurt.

the extra point really does make a difference. Plus a lord coming down can just end games sometimes which is nice. I've even stolen a game are two by making my gobos fly.

We are the correct age for that comment to hit just right.

Great question. I tried to make my 1 drops impactful throughout the game. Scamp pings, Fuseling grows, and Frenzied can remove blockers. Of the three I was the least impressed with Frenzied. Firebrand's sac trigger doesn't grow with pumps like Scamp and I don't really value the treasure from lackey. If you wanted to try some I would recommend removing the Frenzied. I know. It always makes me feel like I planned it that way. Conversely, losing with your op at 1 life feels so much worse than any other number.

I think it will go Goblins, Elves, Cats. I don't know that for sure though. Haven't made the other two yet, but I'm keen to try elves.

I'd argue cats are better than elves. Arahbo giving consistent free tokens as you play cats, vs tap elves or a 2/2 that gives you just 1 is better. Plus white has a better removal suite.

You working with a specific list yet? I tried to build elves last night and my current brew does look pretty mid.

What are you thinking?

@TheSplinterTwins well, the list I was running was a little lackluster and didn't have the combo at the top end and also ran Elenda.

Elenda looks super fun, but it does seem a little win more.

@TheSplinterTwins my Orzhov Enchantments Deck usually ends up gaining more life than my lifegain one lol. I need to tweak it.

They gave out so many starter decks with FDN release. We didn't see that coming. Nice to be pleasantly surprised by anything Arena economy wise.
