Dismals Canyon & Rattlesnake Saloon (AW's Bday Fun)

Aleigh Wade recently turned six. To celebrate her birthday, we made the quick trip to Dismals Canyon and hiked the trail there. It was beautiful and we had the best time. We then made the trek north to the Rattlesnake Saloon to eat and that was an amazing experience as well. I highly recommend visiting these places! For a family of six, it was approximately a $100 trip. We have cell service through C-Spire and service was very sketchy, so just a heads up there with that.

It has been such a blessing to be able to fish with my daughters during this crazy time. Today the L's (Lucy and Libby) had the best time out on the lake. I love to hear them laugh and have fun in the outdoors. Teach a kid to fish. Be patient with them. Let them drive the boat if they get bored. Carry snacks. These are memories they will cherish forever. I know I will.

This baby bird flew the nest when I was fishing near it and landed in the water just floating. I noticed it couldn't fly any more because it was wet and heavy. With the help of my paddle, I was able to place the baby bird back in its crib for the night, ha.
