@@NNT Buckler with armor rating just provides a huge amount of PDR (physical damage reduction). Can also get both +Armor Rating and +PDR on it. I have updated videos using a heater shield as well

Perfect block as in the class skill that provides 5 impact resistance? No I do not recommend that skill I think it is horrible. I think sprint & second wind are the only useful skills on fighter for normal PDR build, and taunt if you are in trios with a healer.

@@SchoiPvP I don't mean that skill, I mean if you let go of your shield the moment the opponent attacks you, you can counterattack the opponent regardless of the impact, and usually be able to raise the shield before the opponent's next attack.

@@25thNight I'm sure you saw how geared the wizards are we fought at the beginning of the video. So replay the fight at 00:58 and try to pay close attention to everything I am doing. Specifically, watch what I'm doing with spacing. I am evading multiple spells, and I am shooting with a ranged weapon. I am blocking magic missiles, and am landing francisca axes. I am fighting ranged, with ranged, and making good decisions to not get hit very often, thats how you fight ranged in slow builds. For solos id build my move speed faster however in duos this is the way to do it. Hope that helps! Same advice applies for solos, good decisions, use ranged

@@SliceOfLifeJ Yeah so crossbow is good for peak firing. You can peak a corner and shoot, no need to draw the bow string. Also allows you to not need to use weapon mastery. You can jump reload to cover more distance around a corner with less move speed penalty. I still think crossbow is viable.

So because I use ranged weapon so much I do not need to rush the enemy all the time with high move speed. I also use lots of throwing axes to slow people down to get to them as well. Hope that helps! @@rohtea Morningstar with counter attack instead of sword mastery is decent. I have yet to try rapier and rondel since those require true stacking, I would like to try them next once I die. But I havent died yet in the last 2 days in HR

​​@@SchoiPvP Check out how repoze presented playing a rogue. He went over perks and skills and what's best if it changes between solo duo trio. And then he went over stat priority for the class. And then what items to use per slot with fallbacks and worst case for when you're running gear you saved. I haven't finished your video yet and you may have done some of this.

@@SchoiPvPas someone who has given up on fighter this patch, I’d love what you’d put as you favorite set to run as a BIS kit, then what pieces you individually think are more desirable as a fighter than others. Like example: why you’d take a houndskul over a armet, or a long bow over the survival bow. Maybe even throw in rankings of different ways to play fighter. (These are just ideas I don’t mean to tell you what to do haha)

I am a 3-4 KD Cod player and my team mate was 324 move speed with spellbook out torture mastery warlock so it was hard for them to fight against that. The enemy warlock was life drain, so he could only heal by standing still, and I kept reminding my team mate to keep putting hydra to see rogue. Eventually, the rogue tried to kill my team mate and used his hide and stuff, and then I went in after. Can happen to anybody, tough to fight against a dude with max move speed on warlock.

@@SchoiPvP 324 ms with book out is criminal xD. They still could have ran and found a better module or position to fight in, as someone said in the video themself. Question, do you think torture mastery warlock has always been better in such a scenario or just in this season in general? Thanks for the quick reply.

@@bitties483 Kinda just depends on the match up honestly. Life drain is better if that player is allowed to drain repeatedly, but if the life drain player is pushed and cannot find an opportunity to actually life drain, he will die 100%. No chance to heal at all, so torture mastery is better for kiting. But if a life drain guy drains without enough competition, life drain wins.

@@GauthierEsteve If you would like more move speed I would recommend agi with max health on plate pants. And Lightfoot boots instead of buckled boots. Laced turnshoe is like buckled vs rugged boots it might be cheaper. Edit: agi with max hp on chest is fine as well. Just useful rolls in general, build for what feels good for you.

@@beakdd I think its really good, however it relies on true damage stacking. That's really expensive. I plan on mastering that eventually I haven't quite yet. As for buckler, I only block on occasion, rarely ever, I make more use of its higher move speed to do duck and weave animations.

@@believeBG He is running a standard torture mastery build with items such as Occultist Hood, Mystic Gloves, Lightfoot boots. Perks are typically torture mastery, antimagic, vampirism, and the 4th perk he switches between curse mastery, and things like dark reflection. @@believeBG I havent been playing many solos this season. But in general, no. If you prefer survival bow though feel free to use that. I just personally have trouble landing shots against 300+ move speed players who are also trying to dodge in high roller with recurve / survival. I find myself landing more reliably with longbow. If you have different results though you should use whats more comfortable

@@r-yt-g PvP on fighter requires a lot of running away, and then running back to the enemy player. Things like smite, savage roar, divine protection, blow of corruption, demon form, bloodstained blade, curse of weakness, holy strike, all kinds of stuff makes us lose really easily. So lots of running away because our class is mid as hell! But after the enemy is exhausted (if we haven't died yet) then we can fight, and possibly win? Not guaranteed (this is a sarcastic post because we are a bottom 2 class)

@@r-yt-g for actual advice, like I said in the video if you need more move speed try Lightfoot boots or chapel de fer helmet. Use francisca axes, bring prot potions, etc. Land your shots as much as you can, and using a bow is a good idea unless you have insane headshot accuracy on crossbow

@@lonewolfaus4817 I like to be close to a target, so weapons like the arming sword are a poor choice due to the more severe "weak spot" damage and area on it. If arming sword had a more falchion-like "weak spot" I would use that. Daggers are mid on fighter and require true damage stacking. Viking sword is mid too. Falchion & Longsword are the only options remaining with that criteria.

Fighter in this game is weird because many fantasy games a fighter is good in melee. In this game though fighter can literally die instantly to rogue, barbarian, cleric. I play very carefully and meticulously with ranged in order to play competitively with the highest chance of survival. Hope that helps! Fighter is a class that excels at nothing, not the best melee, not the best tank, not the best ranged. BUT it can do all three. And I play to make all 3 work all at the same time, playing it right :)

@@Pierre-sv6kp You could still do this build with a longsword. Just keep in mind I am doing A LOT of ranged work. Peep my latest video to see what im doing to compliment my warlock kiting team mate as an example.

That's a warlock, not a cleric. The ranger missed because I am dodging very effectively. The ranger was also a Demi player, meaning they have plenty of experience in the game. I show loot after kills, you'll see all the players have at least decent or functional kits.

So you say this monitor of yours helps you see better cause for me at least when players are too far away it looks pixelated and blurry and I use a ASUS 1080p 24" monitor (yeah I need an upgrade and I will get one soon)

@@sausy798 Large monitors don't really offer a serious advantage. Many esports players play with a smaller monitor, but most of them have something in common. They have very nice pc's, and the refresh rates of the monitor are 165-240 hz. Most esports players have a 240 hz monitor, with a 4090 nvidia card. The one I have is a 165 hz monitor.
