I just hope whoever is new HC keeps Kubiak. Hot take, so I'll back it up. In 14 starts AK had his career high in rushing and his best receiving total in 4 years too. He had his best successful run percentage since 2022 as well. He also had his most carries for first downs since 2020. Passing struggled the last 2 months or so, I'll get there. But In 10 starts in 2024 Carr was top 10 in completion percentage, yards per attempt, TD% and INT%. He had the lowest sack% at 2.8 (behind the same, if not a less healthy line you saw our other qbs get sacked at 8.8 and 13.3 percent, respectively). And thats on Carr being pressured near 25% of the time and Ratt pressured near 21%. The run game was also upper tier, ranking 8th in estimated points added, T-13th in YPC, 14th in total rush yards, and thats despite AK missing 3 games, the OL being middle of the road in blocking for them (2.5 yards before contact is in a deadlock for 20th in the league even, mid is overrating them), and defenses knowing they'll be leaning on it with rookie qbs and a depleted wr room. A pretty good year of mid production outta the backs.... if there's such a thing lol. All that with just a mention of how truly bad the OL was cause it's not like Ratt even held the ball forever to eat those 22 sacks. He got out of the pocket or rid of the ball in an average of 2 seconds flat. And on the rarity he got to the red zone, like Carr, no ints. That's a big nod to scheming when you see how small the field gets down there and helped them be the, by rate, 11th most successful redzone offense on the year. But overall, because 7 weeks of averaging 13 a game, with qbs that on 267 throws had just 150 on target, "good" to bring a 76.7 good throw percentage by Carr down to a bottom 5 team rank of 67.9%, and AK missing time in those games giving carries to the guys who averaged just 3.8, 3.5 and 3.4 YPC from AKs 4.2 it made the offense flounder in the 2nd half and brought everything down. But don't be mistaken, they were a solid unit despite the record and what the counting stats look like on paper. Hopefully their 9th or 41st overall pick can lock them up a stud in the trenches then roll with a HC who wants to keep Kubiak because he did show his worth with an OL we all knew was garbage, sprinkled with a landslide of injuries too

Dont'a Hightower strip sack fumble, and then Trey Flowers sack on 2nd and 11...ooof. But getting three more TDs including two 2-point conversions with the second one being the biggest one in history of Patriots franchise...my goodness.

This was the first super bowl I watched as a kid. I am glad it was my first. Saints and Drew brees there will probably never be another like them with the quality. The throws brees would make are absolutely masterful.

That game started out so rough.. got really nervous.. a little progress was made in the 2nd quarter. Get us back to 10-6. But come the 2nd half.. it was one of those games where it just getting better and better. 4th quarter was much less stressful than that NFC Championship game against the Vikings.
