The problem with these protests is that they are simply not peaceful. Until the cops show up, they get progressively more violent and destructive. When the cops do show up, the kettling and mayhem starts, and the violence increases. If the protesters just policed their own protests, and drove out the opportunistic anarchists and black bloc commies before they started smashing and burning, the cops might never show up at all. And when the "protesters" loot and pillage a store, they lose all credibility as protesters. We have legitimate grievances to protest in America. We need to stop letting the extremist fanatics taking over these protests though, giving an excuse to unleash the extremist fanatics in government on the peaceful protesters in our midst.
