Good to see you, Rob !
thanks mate, thought id start trying to do a few videos again, hope you are well
Hi mate, have you had problems with colour matching your graphics on screen vs what forever transfer rip puts out?
Hi mate thanks for the question I hope this is of some use Occasionally that has happened, I find if the colours are solid its a lot more accurate, when there is shading and fade I find sometimes its not as vibrant as id like, I do have to pick and choose very carefully which print jobs I do with the Oki, if I think its not going to be a good enough match I will use a different print method, it is a great printer but does have its limitations
@@MakingTEES hi mate, yes bang on I have the same experience with the OKI. All the best 👍
Hey, great video, life saver! I've got a needle threader issue, it won't come forward and I can't shift the error that says "trimming sensor error" 😢 any ideas?
hi sorry to hear that what machine do you have please
Mac not going to work ?
no unfortunately not
Very nice. What type needle.do you use for this? I'm trying to do scout patrol patches but am worried I'm going to break a needle
hi mate, I just used normal 75's on this job no problem, what machine do you have? ive upgraded my machine and have made loads of patches from scratch including velcro backed ones, I will do some more videos on that if it helps
Thanks
Just found you having been struggling to make it doing embroidery using my Brother VR! The first videos I've watched have been hugely helpful! Thanks mate, keep em coming please!
Hi Scott ah im pleased to hear my videos have been of some use to someone thats great, I will try do some more but if there is anything you really need help on let me know ill see what I can do for you, keep going with it the VR is a great machine and very versatile, and what I done when I first started was practice practice practice, I got some old t shirts and just embroidered as much as possible keep going mate you will master it
Hi thanks for your video, one question what printer are you using, I Have one HP254 laser color would like to know if that paper work with that printer. I saw some video but I'm not sure.
Hi I use a Oki 8432pro wt printer which is a white toner printer, I couldn't say for sure if your printer will work with this paper as I dont know much about your printer, but if you contact @amayauk im sure they could tell you, thanks for the question , and sorry I couldn't be more help

good for you mate 👌👌
thanks much appreciated
👏👏 good luck growing the channel 👍👍
thank you 👍
what do you do when its a photo of people? The skin might not look right rasterized.
if its for a one off wear t shirt like stag dos id just print it full, if its a photo on a garment thats going to be worn a lot I would print it using a different print system
Thank you 😊
my pleasure I hope it is of some help
Hi do you have a video on cleaning the bobbin area please ty 😊

It is not work with epson printer right ?
no unfortunately not mate
Thank you. My website will be launching February 2nd and I will take all the advice I can get, never stop learning. I have made lots of apparel and puckering is something I'm learning to control. I just subscribed. Thank you!
Ah thats great to hear and well done you, yes puckering can be a pain but always digitise to the material you are using and make sure to really do the backing and hooping well and you will be great also lots of practice get a old garment you know will pucker and do loads of embroidery on it, good luck with your business and thanks for subscribing
Will you share your rasterization settings
Hello what kind needle do you use?
I use a 75 jersey point from Madeira or a 90
Such solid advice! I've been doing lots of tests, finding vinyl that's consistent to use, finding t-shirts I'm happy with. Feedback has been great so far. Next is pushing the marketing and get some sales. And you're so right it's not been cheap and taken a lot of time. Will be coming back for more great content.
thank you for the comments I really appreciate it and I am glad it was of some use to you, good luck on your journey
I’ve ordered 75/11 needles but they don’t have a flat side won’t work on The machine. ???

thanks mate
You hired a cameraman 👍
well you know, when you become big league its what you do 😂😂🤔🤔
Showing off all the YT channels 😎👍😉
ha ha might as well 😂
Do they melt in heat??
no what happens is you peel of all the excess, so its only left underneath the embroidery stitching, and the first time it gets wet it forms into a clue like substance and maintains the waterproofing of the garment,
Nice video, Rob McGregor !
😂😂
Could you do a wash test please? I want to see how long it last
to be fair the large full images without rasterisation don't last long using white toner, the rasterised does last longer but you do lose a lot of the vibrant colours, I think for longevity DTG or screen printing is better, I do find if art work has a lot of negative space and isn't full of solid colour then the white toner can last a long time.hope that helps
@@MakingTEES how long does it hold up for? 30 washes or 20
@@trenchkid3845 so not rasterised you dont get much more than 20 washes if its rasterised ive still got t shirts going strong after 40 plus washes
@@MakingTEES without cracking or with cracking
@@trenchkid3845 both ive had some do 20 washes with no cracking and look ok others crack very quickly maybe 5 -10 washes,
Thanks for the information! Very good to know :)
your welcome, glad to be of some help,
Nice video ! Their logo is so strange, I can't figure out what they had in mind...
yeah its a unusual one, embroidered out really well though 👍
@@MakingTEES ok ok 🤐😉
Why do we need white toner printer when applying on white garment? It doesn't make sense to me.
well you don't need a white toner printer but as I have one thats what I use
Can I ask I'm using a, Janome HD4020. My buttonholes randomly jam up and start to sew on one position where the fabric isn't moving. Also I've noticed sometimes the buttonhole just stops halfway though its program. As you can imagine it makes a, right mess and loses me lots of time. I'm using it on straps with thin cotton both sides with a cotton fabric in between to make the straps stronger. The only thing that improved it was I changed the needle as I'd tried everything else. But then half an hour later it got jammed again. Is there anything you can recommend? I've got the pressure foot on 3 and thread tension on 4. I'm using a standard, sewing machine thread. I haven't tried to alter stitch length or width. The machine is only 1 year old. Thanks
Hy! I nedd a littebit help whit the laser dark no cut paper. My 8432WT Pro printed the black color dotted on the Laser dark no cut. Can you please help me how can i fix the problem? I can send a pictures to about the cmyk color print. The yellow, blue and magenta color is okay. Thank you for you answer (L)
hi so are you saying the black that should be solid come out rasterised but the rest of the colours come out solid ?
@@MakingTEES No. ist just a normal printing, not rasterized. But the color on black have pale yellow dots
@@87Freemann ok so what software are you using with your oki ?
@@MakingTEES Forever Transfer RIP. But i have the same problem whit the PS or whit Corel Draw. The Atributor from Forever saying its static load on paper.
@@87Freemann have you run through some different designs to see if it happens on all of them ?
I can see marks left from the tape.
Yeah that’s because the fibre’s are pulled up a bit when it’s pulled off it goes away with a rub or a first wash 👍
Image & sound 👌
Thanks Pierre
Hi Rob... sorry to bother you, but can I ask a quick question and get your advice. I'm really wanting to buy a white toner printer. I have the money to get a state of the art one but I really want to start small for now just to perfect the craft so to speak. I'm already establishing a small hoodie/tshirt/artist merchandise business so I was thinking of buying a HP pro M255 laser jet colour printer then swap out the black toner for a white one. What's your honest opinion on that? I've researched it can be done.
Hi Bianca, its no bother at all, and its great to hear your already establishing a business, thats a good question and I can only speak from personal experience and I have personally found each time I buy something with that intention I soon regret not just getting the item im eventually building up to anyway, but that said I have also made purchases which I later wished id started small on. not much help im afraid but if you believe your business will benefit form either then get the best your budget can afford, thats obviously only my personal view, you just gotta do what feels right for you, good luck and I look forward to hearing what you decide.
Thank You for this info
Sorry, what settings ? 🤣🤣🤣 Sound quality is really good, Rob 👌
I really can’t thank you enough, it takes a lot for you to reply let alone take the time to upload a video for me. Again thank you soooooo much 👌👌👌

Hi , I have a HP printer that can use the ghost white toner, as an Oki is out of my price range. Do yo know if the ghost toner quality is as good and would you recommend it for people who cannot afford an Oki Thank you
Hi, well I will be completely honest I have never used a HP printer so could not really comment or recommend it, all I would say is always buy what you can afford and make it work for you.
Hi Rob. Great video. Can I ask where you get your A and B transfer paper from please ?
Hi Bianca, ah thank you your very kind, yes I get all my papers from a company called Amaya uk. here is a link bit.ly/amayaswc
@@MakingTEES Thank you so much. It's great to finally have someone in the UK break.things down for us. I've learnt a lot more from your channel. I'm looking at getting the OKI 834nw to start off with then possibly upgrade to the one you have or the latest model by the end of the year. I currently use the Cameo 4 and the Cricut Maker and I'm loving them for now, but want a slightly easier option so I can produce more faster results. The OKI seems to be the way to go. 🙂
@@biancaworth961 ah thanks you, I’m not much of a video maker but I’m gonna try and cover a lot more this year, hopefully I can help you a bit in your journey, and that’s great to hear and it will definitely expand what you can offer customers having the oki, any help you may need please feel free to ask 👍
Thank you
I can't believe you have to place the crown separately on each shirt!🤯
I place the white text and crown on the shirt then do one press to apply the vinyl 👍
@@MakingTEES I just assumed they would be one transfer to get the placement right not that labour intensive. You should put one on the wrong way one day to mess with him😂
@@adamharris1030 ha ha yeah I might just do that 😂
@@MakingTEES 😂😂😂 Do it!
Merry new year Rob !
Happy new year to you too Pierre
Nice video keep it up.
Thank you 👍
Hi, Thank you for this, great video. I'm really curious how you converted that image to a "rasterized" image? I've ben searching high and low and mucking around Photoshop but but there is no easy way to convert an image. The folks from forever laser even have an action script for Photoshop but that only does Black and White. Would love to know how you created the rasterized version.
Hi and thanks for your kind comments, i rasterize all my images in the forever rip software that comes with the printer, unfortunately it’s the only way I’ve ever done it so I can’t really advise on how to do it in photoshop, my apologies Thanks for watching and I hope to upload more this year
Hi thank you for the video ,does the printer type matter ?
Hi Davi, thanks for the question and yes the printer type does matter, to use this paper you need a laser white toner printer, unfortunately no other printer will work with it
Great video, thank you. Do you print the images/text mirrored onto the transfer paper?
Hi thank you and thanks for the question, when im using the ski I use the forever transfer rip software, which when you select which media you are using it will automatically print it the correct way you need, so I dont have to think about send it mirrored or anything like that
