The natural hair community whether the hair is coily, kinky or curly is a mixed/MGM admixtures girl idolisation movement. A lot of the girls who have so called type 3 or type 4 hair are mixed/MGM/admixtures women (partially mixed) presenting long hair as the ideal. In reality the majority of African women, Afro-American, Afro-Caribbean women etc don't have long hair cascading past their shoulders. There is nothing wrong for any woman desiring to have long hair, it is a beautiful glory. However, the most important is hair health as this is when the hair starts to blossom.
