Well I am glad that both Cave and Dylan found some common ground in that song (or the concert as a whole ). I can relate to it myself I think. I am also glad that Warren Ellis is credited as co-songwriter because he has done a lot for Cave in the past many years.

Thanks Bobfan! I knew the name but can't say I've heard her before - she can really sing! Bob would have his incredible gospel band backing at this time which suits this old song by Blind Willie Johnson for sure! You don't need to know the bible inside out and backwards to be saved. It's a compass helps you navigate though. Being saved is as simple as being sorry for our failings and this: "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved..." It's all about faith in what He has done for us and despite us! I believe! 🙌 Thanks for your description and link to 2024 concert! Nice they met again recently.

I didn't know Bucky when you posted this. I knew the music not the names. I really love Bucky's steel playing and also all the other string instruments he played with Bob. I was at this show and this is the second recording that I have listened to. It seems to me better that the Flagging Down the Double E's recording. Can it be made available split into into separate tracks. Well done to the taper, a magnificent memory of a great evening.
