Hi. Doing some music stuffs here. I am self-taught so all i know about music is basically just tabs. I do videos for hobby and when i feel it or have something new stuff to show so don't wait videos to show up all the time. Cheers!
Kiitos!

Marshall JTM45/100 (Clone) Normal Channel First Test (Room Sound)
Yes i take my 1959 Super Lead (which was converted to be handwired from reissue) to get modified to JTM45/100 and what a change it was! I like it much more now. Normal channel is more useful now and it is what i first test and was blown away how much better it sounds than 1959 normal channel. I can also open volume much more now. Bright channel is very bright now but that sounds great too. I also have that Hendrix 33k/500pf mod behind the amp but it was not on here. I use G12M/G12H speaker compination.

My BIAS FX2 Jimi Hendrix JTM45 Tone
Переглядів 414 години тому
You can find this tone from BIAS FX2 with name "Jimi Hendrix JTM45 Tone" Remember to use your guitar volume knob to get different level cleans and overdrive. My strat also has pickups like Hendrix had when he flip his guitar upside down so that makes tone brighter and different but this should sound very close with normal strat too. #jimihendrix #biasfx2 #guitar

Testing these stock pickups which are not bad but not very good either. When you lower the pickups a lot then the sound opens more and gets more highs. Also if you raise those screws on top of the pickup you get more highs that way too. Still i think i'm gonna get new pickups to this guitar that it sounds even better. Open back is little more alive. Difference also that i notice in the room was that, when using open these G12H speakers sounds tighter and more middy, but when using closed sound is little looser like G12M. #cloasedvsopencabinet #celestion

Tried To Capture The Whole 4X12 Sound With One Mic
Переглядів 79День тому
I didn't listen through headphones how it sounds when i was recording to keep it as surprise. I sounds pretty okay! I put my Behringer mic to middle of the 4X12 cabinet and leave some space between cab and mic to try if it records the whole sound of this cabinet rather than one speaker. I also use master volume which is back at the amp because it was pretty loud. Speakers were G12M25 Greenbacks...
Hendrix Type Tones With Closed Back Cab (2X12 G12H30 Heritage 55Hz Room Sound)

Sometimes i like closed back and sometimes open. Closed has nice bottom end and more focused sound that i like. Open back sound spreads more. For Hendrix i think closed is good because Jimi use his cabinets like that. At least i have not found anything open back related. #jimihendrix #marshallamps

I run my Super Lead as 50W now so i can use these G12H speakers as 2X12 too. Again i notice that, i like G12M25 more but G12H is not bad either it's just different. Just little too flat sounding to my taste. I should had drive my Super Lead a little less brighter tho. Cabinet was open back. #jimihendrix #marshallamps #stratocaster
Marshall Super Lead JTM45 Style Tone (Room Sound)

Super Lead sounds very much like JTM45 when you put Normal channel volume more than Bright channel. JTM is usually more bass heavy than 1959 so with that setting you can kinda emulate that sound. #marshallamps #gibsonlespaul #demo

Stock is 4 tubes. Not bad at all! It even sounds very JTM45 like when i use linked channels and put bass channel volume more than lead channel. I definitely keep my amp this way. I can now use my 2X12 G12H Heritage speakers too because now this amp rates as 50W. I was planning 100W vs 50W video BUT because there is already one good video about that made by Leon Todd i didn't need to. You can fi...

Hendrix way means that, pickups are oriented different way than normally. Like when Hendrix flip over right handed strat to play it lefty way so same time pickups flip also. This makes tighter feel and different sound from strat.

Stratocaster Pickups Normal Way And Hendrix Way (Orientation)

I did one video about this subject with camera mic some years ago but i decide to do better video with mic where you can really hear how much it effects to the strat sound. Not the biggest difference but there sure is a difference. When you play the pickups flipped Hendrix way it really sounds a little closer to Jimi tone at least in the room. I still like normal way bloom maybe more and i thin...

Great video, great tones. I think about a JTM 45/100 too.
57 classics have got "the" sound
Хороший тембр
oh man i want that cab!!
I prefer the Burstbucker but Dimarsio is really good to..!
Too bad IK,s tech support is sub par. I wouldn’t buy from them
I prefer Dimarzo. Cruncier more defined and less compressed
What do you think about this 55hz ? I thought about too at first, now I’m more into finding some G12m20 watts (but with a tube rectifier amp, more for earlier tones).
These are great speakers. Brighter than G12M Greenies and tighter. It would be cool to test these with JTM45 type amp. I just got 2 H speakers more so now i have 4X12 those :D I bet 20W G12M is good too.
@ thanks for your answer always interesting to have a direct opinion of someone who tested them and own them. Thanks again.
@@juliendammert7488 Your welcome. G12M is smoother and has little more mids, that classic Greenback sound. Even that G12H55Hz is bass cone speaker it is brighter than G12M which is funny. H is also tight sounding like V30 or G12H Anniversary. H is like the grandfather of V30 but sound wise like mix of Greenback and V30.
Yep, I can hear a difference, and it's closer! A thought though.... to go full hendrix, you'd need to have a second pickguard that has the bridge pickup at the opposite angle too, right? Instead of the treble side being closest to the bridge, you'd want the bass side to be closest to the bridge. Put both methods together (flip each PU, and alter the angle of the bridge PU. The only thing left after those two would be the reverse headstock, which would mainly change the feel of the guitar, not so much the tone.
Hi. Yeah if you wanna go fully like Hendrix had everything then you have to get opposite angle pickguard, but i had 2015 or 16 Fender Hendrix strat before and i don't notice big difference to that. It's more that the pickup is flipped because it gives a different type sound then (brighter and tighter). Of course opposite angle makes difference too but it's not big. And yes reverse headstock effects mainly to string tension. I had reverse headstock and opposite angle bridge pickup some years ago and i have some older videos where i play with those like this ua-cam.com/video/2Q8Pvlo_ZVU/v-deo.html and this ua-cam.com/video/FEr7g_ry82Y/v-deo.html
nice demo nice playing!
very cool rig :) if u want my honest opinion on the recording u did i would say it is missing the middle....... close micing captures the roaring mids marshall is famous for...... u can use a 2nd mic pulled back like u r doing and blend them..... cheers :)
This is my dream rig :) I appreciate your feedback, thanks and you are right. I just don' t have another mic input on my focusrite scarlett but maybe i can do 2 parts and combine those.
@@kuitaristi3003 Doesn't sound bad. What focusrite do you have ? I just made a video of miking speakers =D
@@dewil7313 Hi and thanks! I have 4Th Gen focusrite scarlett with one mic input.
Agreed! If you’re going to pull a mic back away from the cab and center it for “cabinet in the room sound”.. Then the only good way to do it is close mic the edge of a speaker cone w/an SM58 & mix a 2nd mic 2-3 feet off cab then mix the recording of the “room mic” in via Protools or whatever software you use..
@@JasonWright-mc6dz Yeah but i kinda like it. Sounds little more like Fender :) I'm gonna try this with 4x G12H 's too.
The DiMarzio is very bass-heavy and quite mid-scooped! Much nicer and richer midrange in the Duncan!
My experience of these both is the opposite. Duncan is scooped and Dimarzio has more mids.
@ not in this video!
WELL THAT WAS TERRIBLE.
The Gibson wins hands down! The DiMarzio sounds scooped in comparison
Nice demo how does the 100 watt sound at low volume (with the master volume mod)
Hi. It sounds okay but i like to use it without master volume because it just sounds better). You have to open master volume a lot to get great sound with it so it's not completely good for lower volume playing if you want natural amp overdrive. As 50W master volume works little better but artificial load is better.
Dimazzio for sure. Warmer.
Hi! Since you are close miking the cab it is hard to pick up how different the sound is in the room. What is your experience of the room sound, open vs closed?
You are right i notice this from this video too that, mic didn't capture much difference. In room sound difference is bigger. Room i hear how closed cab has bigger bass and sound is tighter and focused. Open back sound is little more alive and spreads. Also it has more mids.
Did you delete “hurriganes” can’t find them… 😮
I don't remember exactly but maybe. Anyway those tones are pretty basic amp + overdrive tones
Killer tones! But can’t find them on Bias fx 😢
My tones are not 100% accurate anyway. You can use BIAS Marshall models with Greenbacks and use guitar vol and tone
Cool. The EMG HZ H2 neck pickup pairs perfectly with it if ever want a neck humbucker at some point.
Sounds great!!!😌👍👍👍
Amp sims do not sound like this!!!😮
Yeah they not that's why i have Super Lead too because real amp and cabinet is the thing for me. Amp sims are great for quick recording and practicing playing along songs quietly.
If you want a more JTM or Superbass sound from a Superlead, with the least amount of tweaking, just walk over to the amp and plug into the bottom left input instead of top left. The tone will be a little bit quieter, warmer, cleaner
Hi. Yeah i use bottom left input and i like it more than top. When channels are linked like i have here and you put little more volume from normal channel than bright then it sounds like JTM, my opinion. I had JTM45 clone before and i noticed that same type of sound which is great. I kinda discover it accidentally :)
@ yeah I had a stock 70 Superbass recently(circuitwise basically a 67 Superlead without a brightcap) and I found I could get most of that tone from my stock 71 1987 with some tweaking. Both amps through either of two 68 straight cabs with Pulsonic t1221’s. I just found it’s easier to get darker, cleaner, less aggressive sounds out of a Lead spec 4 holer than it is to get brighter, gainier, more aggressive sounds out of a Bass spec amp. Nice tone BTW
@@zachariahwade8482 Thanks! I agree.
@ yeah I’m enjoying the bottom left input with my main guitar, a LP Special with P90’s. Straight in, bright Vol on7, all EQ at noon(attenuated-12db) it’s a great low-mid gain old school tone that can cover a lot of late 60’s to mid 70’s sounds. I think it’s even more responsive than the gainier, brighter top input, which is great for more aggressive later 70’s stuff. Hugely versatile amps. No matter what input the rolled down cleans are sensational.
i don’t plan on using the tremolo. will blocking it with some wood solve most problems?
Hi. Yes it works well and keeps tuning pretty well when tremolo is blocked. At least my guitar.
Sounds great! Check out Millstap. He gets some great JH tones too!
Yeah i have followed Millstap a pretty long time. The most accurate Hendrix tones i have heard is from Mikel Bluni's channel. He really knows his stuff.
An univibe pedal would fit great
2:10 i use univibe but it had pretty mild effect here. I don't like to use univibe all the time just some stuff like cleans.
Iff i could this for one time onley....... ♨️
Can you get eric johnson tones from this bad boy?
Hi. Don't know never tried. Probably.
sounds killer my man! Great chops!
Thank you!
killer
Nice tones. What's the hendrix way?
Hendrix way means the pickups. I turn the pickups so that it is like Hendrix had when he use his strats. Maybe orientation is right word? Feel is tighter and sound is little brighter. I made a video where i compare my strat pickups as normal and hendrix way ua-cam.com/video/5BmTXKdC174/v-deo.html
Dimarzio is much more detalied in the bass response .
have to roll the tone pot back to hear difference
True but i definitely hear difference with full volume too, but i think you can hear it better when you play the guitar yourself than from video because 15nf with full volume is definitely brighter than 22nf.
Very cool
I'm glad I found this video! For as long as I've owned my hot rodded humbucker set I could never get along with the the Jazz neck and it's been rusting in a corner for years. Magnet swap might make it actually worth using.
Hi. Maybe. Pickup is still the same but different magnet makes it sound a little different because magnets reacts different way. I like stock Jazz it's more clear and not too boomy like SD 59N, which is good neck pickup too but more bassy.
Which one do you prefer? G12H sounds more crisp especially with gain to me.
Hi. I still like good old G12M25 Greenback more. G12H is cool but it sounds better with my 2061X clone than super lead.
Sounds good to me!! 🎉 you did very well
Lollar for me.Nice comparison
Sounds better at 10
Damn my G-string is downright awful! Got worse over time, guess it's my fault for buying a used one as a dumb teen
Bad luck. Bring it to some guitar tech or find some videos here youtube about G- string.
sounds amazing. Classic tone!
so sweet man!! keep going
Thanks tho i think it can sound better, but this was just first test🙂 G12H Heritage is pretty different than G12M but mix well with those. I'm gonna try to get 2 G12H's more so then i have 2 4X12 cabinets that i can use when i want.
These are Fender 69 pickups? Sounds great.
Yes Fender 69 custom pickups.
What's your wah and fuzz model? How do you have them ordered?
Hi Bairov. I use the same pedal order that Jimi used, except i also use reverb pedal on some clips: Amp > reverb > univibe > fuzz > wah > guitar. My wah is normal cry baby but i put yellow fasel to it. My fuzz is made by solkio sound kustom (he has UA-cam channel also) and it's just basic silicon fuzz clone.
The amp is pairing up really well with that Fender...no brittle high end at all...nice.
Sounds legit 😉✌️🎸
Yup... I own a 2x12 with these speakers, and they don't disappoint!
Hi Mikel🙂And thanks. I'm not 100% sure did Hendrix have super lead's on his live shows or just JTM100 ones, but it was fun to test your/Hendrix amp settings. I learn also that, i still like G12M25 more but it would be interesting to get full 4X12 with G12H's to test, tho those are just so expensive speakers so don't know will i ever get more than one or two?
@ I think you are fine with what you have. A 4x12 doesn’t really make a big difference in the basic tone. So if you prefer the 25s it’s perfect, just go for it. Jimi oftentimes had a JTM45/100 as the first am in the chain going into two Super Leads 🎸✌️
@@MikelBluni I didn't know that JTM Super Lead thing. Yeah i'm very pleased to what i have now for sure. Been working hard to get all these amps and guitars. It's just the curious nature that wants to test things🙂
I found one used G12H Heritage 55Hz for good price so now i have two of those. Gonna mix those with G12M25's to my 4X12 :)
pretty accurate hendrix tones
Thanks, but if you want to hear accurate Hendrix tones go to Mikel Bluni channel.
Weird how tubes affect tuning haha
