Fisher Academy of Ballet is located in Westwood MA and uses a systematic approach to the curricula in all levels of ballet. PreBallet is offered for ages 4-6 and the classical ballet program is offered for ages 7-adult. www.fisherballet.com
Ballet Level 2 Barre Demonstration
Fisher Academy of Ballet offers six levels of the ballet syllabus. Each level takes two years (year A and year B). Level 2A is the third year of ballet instruction for ages 9-11 or the first year of instruction for teen beginners. 9-11 year olds come twice per week. Teen beginners are typically recreational dancers and come once per week.

In Level 1, ballet students start to use the barre for the first time and are introduced to some of the basic ballet positions and steps. Students typically remain in level 1 for two years. These students are aged 7 and started Level 1 two months ago.

Beautiful! Of course I'm predjudiced because it's my granddaughter. I must confess to crying thu the entire video because I traveled back to her mother,my daughter Evelyn's ballet days. At 12, Evelyn, for personal reasons, turned down the opportunity to dance with Balanchine. Now her youngest child demonstrates her mother's talent, a richly rewarding experience.
