Backyard Trail Cam - The First Month
This video is from an inexpensive trail cam picked up on a $49 Black Friday deal. It includes clips from the first month of using it in a typical suburban backyard (about 25 minutes from the center of a large city). We see these animals sometimes during the day as well, but there is more activity during the night visits. The trail cam was set to record from sunset until shortly before sunrise each night. Settings were initially for 15 second clips, but soon increased to one minute to avoid missing longer action. The video or audio wasn't adjusted for quality, so it’s as recorded by the trail cam. This footage was from the end of November until the end of December, so the deer rut was still active.

There is a surprising number of animals passing through my suburban backyard in Charlotte, North Carolina. I caught a few clips this past year and hope to do more soon.

While photographing at the 2017 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta with a pair of Canon 5D Mark III bodies, I captured some video that I put together here. Lenses used included a Canon 15mm fisheye, 16-35mm, 24-105, and a 70-200. Music courtesy of Kevin MacLeod - "As I Figure" (via Incompetech).

Grizzly stalking moose calves, Denali National Park, Alaska
Shortly before sunset in Denali National Park, a moose defends her two calves from a hungry grizzly in the Spring. This scene played out for about an hour. Recorded with a Canon DSLR. Update (December 2021): This video was up for a number of years before I noticed it was starting to get large amounts of views so I'll address a couple of the comments I've seen below. I had changed out the audio ...
Moose jumps in the car and takes off
I guess mama moose forgot her bear spray.
The moose doesn't look at all concerned
Funny how the grizzly pretends he’s looking at the ground when momma moose stares him down
Why is he so chunky?

Preciosas Imagenes en Visión Nocturna‼️👋 👏👏👏👏👏
I guess everybody is having a tough time trying to raise their kids within a tough environment, both humans and animals! Human moms feel her pain!❤
I was kind of hoping to see the moose kick the bear's ass
C'est vraiment comique! Un grizzly qui prends la fuite! Un grizzly ! C'est vraiment une belle vidéo! Merci!
I love how the bear would try to act all nonchalantly like he’s looking on the ground when the moose would look back at her lol
It might look silly but it actually works sometimes, believe it or not. Looks like this wasn't one of them tho unless the bear got one of the calves after the camera stopped.
The bear just sense that fried chicken probably…
Nice vlog ✍🐔🐓🦜👈🦍🦬
Thanks for the update: I was hoping the scent would be lost - clever mama moose taking her babies to the shallow crossing.
Humans do it too.

Gone!!!
Very nice place...love from Dubai and Islamabad
Mother moose persuaded the bear that fish taste better than moose steak.
God... these beasts are MASSIVE 😧😯
Damn bear,pest.
1:35 the bear acting like it’s looking at something else and just so preoccupied by the grass 🤣 reminds me of when you’re cheating in class and lock eyes with your teacher so you turn your head away and pretend to be “thinking hard” 🤣😂
Crazy days in school. The grizzly pretends as though nothing is in her mind
Was this at Savage River?
Yes
@@FloridaImages Thanks for that location info!
Love how the minute Mama turns around, Mr. Grizzly is trying to eat nonchalantly....as if to say, "Hey, I am just eating my lunch".
Lucky Moose. Inexperienced bear.
Nothing lucky the mom showed the grizzly it's not gonna just stand there and watch it take its calf. And the grizzly looks like an adult and just simply didn't want the smoke
Nature Alaska is so beautiful! It's a bear that's not easy to find food. Thank you for your precious video. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year dear friend!🎄
Thank you very much!
What awesome footage this person captured.
That moose went Mama Bear on that grizzly.
Good mama
Wow... !!! My best friend, Great... We liked and enjoyed to the end. Thanks Have a happy day! Keep it up! +thumb up3!
Thank you!

Never knew Bears could run so fast.
That's one of the major factors that makes them so lethal are you fucking kidding me
And they have stamina.
That's the mindset that gets people killed dude. They think they can outrun a bear, but remember this: a 700lb male grizzly can clear the length of a football field in about 40 seconds.
@@blobbertmcblob4888hahaha 😂, a football field in 40 seconds. I’m 70 and I think I can do it in 40 seconds, I guess I can keep up with a grizzly 😅
@@temporaryonesix never knew Bears had claws
Good onya Mum😊
Someone on Instagram has stolen your video. Get it taken down!!
I didn't see it, so let me know if you have a link. Thanks.
Oh no!!!
I can't seem to find it now. I'll let you know if I do!
mom was smart to take her calves into the waters so the bear loses their trail.
A very young, inexperienced adult grizzly. In a short period of time that same bear in a similar situation will be able to take one of those calf's without much trouble.
Krása nádhera 👏 🌹 👍
Thats a dog not a bear
If you're being serious, "what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul." If you're joking, my apologies.
Moose Cows àre very protective over their Calves. This Grizzly was making a half hearted attemp at killing a Moose Calf. The Cow can cause a lot of damage with her hooves. 💪🏼🙏🏻✨
a bear can break through a moose's spine with a paw strike.
Lived in alaska for 3 years, seen a few bears and enough moose for a lifetime. when I was there moose were almost as plentiful as rabbits and squirrels🏔🤔
So what ?
Is the bear breed *mosquito bear"?
Thank you for not putting some dumb music on this beautiful wildlife video
It's interesting, mother bears are said to be the most protective of their young of all the animals. However, mother moose are no joke either!
I was wondering what the person who owned the truck was thinking, unless it belonged to the person with the camera. Imagine coming out of the washroom to that!
it's funny that when she looks he just sniffing something :)
Awesome footage, thank you for dubbing the water audio, I have watched other similar videos with people talking in the background, very annoying. Thank you for the recent update regarding previous comments.
