3 Bedroom Rammed Earth, Passive Solar Design
Trying to fit into this unique small lot in Lakewood, Ohio that's only 35' Wide x 100' Length.
Didn't have enough time to frame the interior or add any details besides the attached 'A' Frame Subterranean Greenhouse that grows food in buckets. While also having a giant avocado tree in the center of the pond filled with captured and treated rainwater.

I would love to build an earthship but my hubby is against it. I showed him some affordable mobile homes and right away went looking how we could use earthship principles when doing upgrades to our it… heeheehee. I will have my earthship anyway! 🤗♥️

@@rmhmrllc speaking of fire.. I enjoyed your woodstove location in the NE side of the house.. good for heat and air flow as the house will push heat from that corner and the greenhouse will breathe from there so you will have a natural 24/7 wood stove breezeway

Neat video, glad to have been directed here by the whims of the algorithm. Did you account for the see through photovoltaic being inherently at best a quarter to a third of the output of opaque photovoltaic?
I used Tesla's solar panel tiles as a comparison and did the math that way. But you're right and those predictions in the video, may be a little too high than what would actually be produced.

There should also be some way to access the back side of the plants against the wall; I suggest an few feet offset to account for that.

Greetings from 52°N, even over here PV is great, 8 months of the year I do not have to buy anything from the grid. And thats with EVs and heatpump, all electric here. PV works. Dreaming of a large greenhouse combined with the living room.
i'm not really sure this applies, but wouldn't the sunken part have to be a bit more sunken? i understand it's using the thermal underground setting, but the lower half doesn't look like it's deep enough to matter, unless it goes even deeper and i just can't see that in this idea. also are there any other plans on helping with the heating of this greenhouse like using that other kind of solar that transfers heat to the sunken parts? or is that built within the design like how an earthship works?

@@rmhmrllc You wont have enough cfm. Design the system to put the entire greenhouse air volume underground at least 10x per hour for heating and at least 20x an hour for cooling, 25-30x would be better still.
