The Number of SOLD listings decreased 8% to 257 properties with a top sale of $7.5 million at 13 Strandway in Harwich.
The Average Sales Price decreased 19% to $1 million and the Average Price Per Square Foot decreased by 6% to $535.
The inventory of properties available for sale as measured in months supply decreased 13% to 3.59 months worth of properties for sale.
The average 30-year fixed mortgage rate increased by 1% to an average rate of 6.94% according to Bank Rate.com.

I'm always amazed by such places in older cities, and I'd love to see Boston one day. I bet the views through those windows are lovely when it is snowing. Unfortunately, this place, though worth every penny of the asking price I'm sure, is about $7,700,000 over my budget - so I am afraid I will have to pass.

Who would want to go to Griffin if they are looking to sell or buy in the $500,000 range? You do yourself a disservice unless you only want business of the rich.

Or don't use a selling agent and save almost 6%. All they really do is list your house on the MLS and wait to get emails. It's such a long running scam. Half of home owners find their house online without the use of an agent. Only after they find a house do they call an agent. Just hire a real estate attorney to represent you and do the paperwork.

Most agents are not motivated to get you the best price for your property. They are committed to getting the most commission in the least amount of time. The way they do that is to talk you into taking less for your property so it sells quicker. Don't listen... find the realtor who is willing to put in the work to get you the best price for your property.
