A little tune i made when i was bored. It's based on a melody from an over 100 year old music box i have. I don't know where the melody comes from but i think it's some sort of folkmusic.

Johann Jakob Froberger - Partita FbWV 645 in E Major
It's nice to hear that he stayed faithful to that "old-fashioned" art...
Love this Arrangement. Always Bringeth a Tear To me Eye! Bravo!
At first I thought the last couple of measures to the end were rather "hollow" but on looking at it, they dance around the subdominant and hug the tonic in minor seconds to the resolution. That is brilliant. such a great piece and performance!
C 'est une belle Musique
The organ bells together with the flute stops sound very special and pleasant.
Hi :) My favorite version here ! Thank you ! :)
Maybe one of the top 5 most underrated harpsichord recordings on UA-cam.
AWW SHIIIT THIS TRACK IS FIRE DAWG!?! mah guy over here just casually laying down some Legit, SIC beatz You're telling me this nigga´s doiing all the sounds and shit with that Piano and pipes bra? NAh U BE TRIPPIN bro, IT's obviously playback.🕉✡☪
🤨
Not bad at all, it’s a good interpretation (of course improve is all ways possible), but the engineer sound should be punished :/
A great organist with a huge talent!
Grandisimo!!!!
11:28 this chord and the accoustic of the church is simply magic
i totally agree!
Cordialement. Olivier
These incredible jewels of Danish churches dating back to before the Reformation...then lovingly maintained as monuments of peace and stability to our very day...2020. Each with its pipe organ of the highest quality, usually by one of those top-shelf Danish builders Marcussen, Frobenius, ETC. Jewels, yes! Of taste, light, color (that Ostsee Blue...ahhh), proportion, and seriousness. Thank you, Denmark. Our beacon in terribly dark times here in America. Don't give up on us. Mark
Brilliant fugue!
Does anyone know where to geet the sheet?
I am pleased to hear the upload. I am discovering the music of Georg Bohm and it is wonderful.
Beautiful! It's a quite short piece but it sounds wonderful on this organ, it's a shame no one ever plays it in Italy. Thank you!
It's a very special and beautifully sounding organ indeed!
piu' lo scopro il favoloso Krebs e più mi entusiasma !!
Wonderful music!
Amazing
running on a manual.. the boy is seen young..
According to bach biographer Christian Wolff our hero was at the age of 18 when he thought out this piece. No one comes even close.
Where is this organ? The sound is amazing
odense, denmark i think
I like this beginning much more than the performances of this prelude where the opening of the prelude is played extremely dry and boring. I too feel that it's more like a machine 'starting up', basically making it closer to a story than played without any foresight. Congratulations! One important highlight, however, at 1:41 you're adding an additional bar (which is not in the original score), essentially doubling that passage for echo. I've never heard this in any performance, though I doubt that many bach-experts would agree this is an ethical thing to do. I feel it removes the chromatic feeling of the left hand, and the energy going straight to the big crescendo follow-up, but other than that the whole performance is amazing!
Anthony Newman does a more extreme version of the echo, perhaps that's what inspired this. Check out his recording
Fugue begins at 4:51 . Yes Krebs is not currently in great favor,.. his music deserves a lot more attention. He is certainly one of the greatest of the Baroque composers,... but that group includes so many greats....
I wonder what Bach thought of Ludwig's compositions.
I think Krebs was one of Bachs favourite students.
@@Prinzipal8 Ja das war er definitiv! Von Bach höchstpersönlich sind entsprechende Aussagen überliefert!
What he exactly thought was ' der einzige Krebs im bache'
Magnificent!
The prelude begins with a good articulation, but an excessive fantasticus style ... In the second part of the prelude a dialogue between two keyboards would be appreciated. The registration used in the fugue is excessive; with a 2' instead of the full mixture would be cleaner and more intelligible, as well as contrasted with the coda of the prelude. At the end you can add the full. It is not about to take all the organ sound power and competing with Koopman in speed. These are just my opinions...
This performance is magical. STFU.
Fine performance, great recording quality.
Sorry, I can't listen to this. It's way, way too fast.
Wow! This is the first I've heard a Krebs work..... this is JUST as good as Bach's organ Preludes and Fugues. Completely underrated! It is a shame that the classical music listening public ignores or marginalizes the importance of great organ composers who either didn't write in other "popular" genres or whose works in other genres didn't attain popularity. So close minded and fickle. I see it time and again. There are so many great composers who wrote for the organ who don't get recognized for this reason.
Andrew Larson. I will spread the word about Krebs and play this work at my next recital. He was highly regarded by Bach-his teacher. Bach developed a pun on Kreb's name: Der best krebs I'm bach- the best crayfish in the brook.
Sorry, im- not I'm.
As mentioned, Krebs was one of Bach's favorite students. Unfortunately, Kreb's music got swamped by the increasing popularity of the rococo or style gallant era, which is why his music is not as well known as most other baroque composers.
@oceananswer don't break my balls and learn the Italian meaning of the word "opera".

Played way too fast for my tastes (almost double tempo). Almost sounds like the performer was late for a train so he rushed thru his performance, or he was typing out the composition and striving for a speed of 200 wpm, or he was swimming against two other organists and beating them to the finish line, or maybe his performance was recorded on a 33 1/3 rpm vinyl record that was instead played at 78 rpm. It was literally a sonic blur. I'm curious if he ever has to lead a congregation's hymn singing, and if so how fast he speeds along at that. Bet dollars to donuts he loses them frequently. As it ends I'm almost panting.
I can't agree. BWV 550 must be light fast. Only then it sounds good. I say it from my experience with this piece.
Really a splendid opera, really well played!
... This isn't an opera.
Oceananswer Before speaking try to learn what is the Italian meaning of the word Opera, since it's an Italian word. Cheerio.
It's the plural form of opus, which means work of art...

Frobenius, Marcussen - or some other organ builder?
Marcussen, voiced by Mogens Brunsnaes. Just now in the process of being rebuilt and doubled in size. Should be ready later this year.
David Butterworth Thanks for that info. It's a gorgeous sound, superbly played and recorded. Col, NZ.
Even faster than Preston and Fagius' interpretations. Probably a bit too fast. A demonstration of virtuosity is all very well but in many cases nuances are lost. Glenn Gould realised this later on in life with his second Goldberg recording.
Es que no tengo palabras para expresar la emoción que me produce.
In this tempo a lot of fine musical details disappears in the rush.
I find this tempo very appropriate for this particular Prelude and fugue. This piece without doubt is far more brilliant and joyful (even with accent of wit in fugue) than deep or majestic.
¡Muy bonita!
A little bit unyielding in phrasing and very hard in recording sound. Nice to hear once. I'd love to be able to say more. The player might be very good in the future (on a different instrument and in a different acoustic)
Or with different recording engineers who don't fall for the trap of over-recording harpsichords.
Enjoyed it very much, very magical !!!
