Me, my husband and 2 kids (13 & 10) brought school backpacks on a 10 day cruise plus 2 nights in Orlando. My husband wore everything, but my daughter, son & I didn't. So I know next time we can bring less. I used the 54321 packing method, and that was too much for me.

Great tips Tori! Cruise lines love to get you with add ons so you are definitely right, check to see if they offer those packages while you book because it is often discounted at booking. I forgot to put my phone in airplane mode on my last cruise and got a notification from Verizon saying "it looks like your cruising. You can use your current package for only $30 a day"..... I quickly changed it to airplane mode and wasn't charged. I check my onboard account daily, lol.

Great video. We are booked for a cruise and one of the ports is Shimizu. Did you walk to see all of these sites? We booked a private excursion. We are not so good with direction. Do you think we should keep the tour or is it easy enough to navigate around?

Thank you for your excellent and informative video. We have been on 5 Cunard cruises, 4 of which were trans-Atlantic Crossings and have enjoyed "rising to the occasion" of the more formal dress code. Beginning with our first cruise, we have made it a tradition to make an evening of selecting my wife's outfits for each night of the cruise. We usually do this about a month before embarkation. My wife sets out all possible outfits including those she may be borrowing from family and friends. We open a bottle of Champagne and she models each outfit. By the end of the evening, and sometimes a second bottle of Champagne, all necessary outfits have been selected for the appropriate number of "Smart Attire" and "Gala" nights. The final order that the outfits are worn is not determined until each evening when we are on the ship. This has become not only a fun tradition, but it really is the kickoff of the cruise for us. It has been our experience that most passengers, especially on the Crossings, exceed Cunard's minimum dress code requirements. Before our very first cruise I bought a used tux from an upscale formal rental shop. The cost was about the same as if I had rented the tux for a cruise. Five cruises later it has served me well and will be going on our next Cunard cruise in May. One correction I will make to your video, when bringing alcohol onboard, you do not have to notify Cunard and you are not limited to a case. Wine, spirits and beer are all allowed as well. We usually bring a mix of wine and Champagne and enjoy a glass while dressing for the evening.

I have cruised on Princess 35 times and never have a problem on CCL onboard credit until my upcoming 1 Feb Discovery Princess. Called Princess Planner and learned is new policy. For future booking, she will inform me if select cruise is on "Reduced-rate/Discount Fare" and is limited to CCL onboard credit. Thank you bringing this issue to Princess royalty folks' attention. Princess will review customers' response.

For us packing is really easy. Last time we just did the four intimated Gala nights on fourteen plus an extra two. In June we're just going to have fourteen Gala nights in a row, and dress smartly other than when at gym or pool. So that's a tie for me from about 11am on, and dresses/skirts for my wife. We save on packing by leaving casual wear (if we have any) behind, and making a plan of every outfit we will wear. What's really annoying is the Roaring 20s Gala. If anything it should be flapper dresses and men wearing dinner suits as they would have done in the 1920s. In recent times you get men copying outfits from gangster movies and a UK TV show called Peaky Blinders and wearing stupid hats and carrying plastic guns. No gentleman would ever wear a hat indoors. Cunard don't help by selling these unsuitable accessories.

That crazy, I got CCL stock too. I never been denied but if I am. Then it time to think about selling the stock.

I don't really care about the one hundred dollar discount (although I've always got it in the past) it's just all the chicken s__t games and ploys all the cruise lines play. Their slight of hand and gotchas are getting ridiculous. I get even by MAXING out the "PLUS" program! I've got 2000 shares of CCL and will unload it as soon as it reaches "pre-pandemic" levels. It appears ALL the cruise lines are using cut throat tactics now. There's a lot of demand for cruising right now but it will turn around again. These idiots are greedily building even bigger monstrosities ships that hold even more passengers and "supply and demand" will rear it's ugly head and they'll be begging for customers again just like right after cruising opened back up after the "pandemic BS" subsided.

Sounds totally fraudulent to me. I always thought that Princess was honourable. Maybe it's time for everyone to sell their Carnival stock.

I have not had this happen to me. Should be straight forward. You own the 100 shares of stock and get the OBC for all cruises if you pay anything for it.

Hi Tori, Thanks for your video! In April of 2024 I booked our first ever cruise on Princess, departing from Galveston on December 1, 2024. later I bought CCL stock in order to get the on board credit. I booked the cruise using VTG (VacationsToGo). After my agent talked with Princess I was told that the offer I received was some kind of Princess special rate that required full payment at the time of booking and was non changeable and nonrefundable (I had to pay in full approximately 8 months before the cruise). About 3 ½ to 4 weeks prior to departure I downloaded the Stockperks app, submitted my request for the OBC. I don’t have any idea if my booking had any of the codes you mentioned associated with it but, within a few days I received notification that my request was Successful?!?! The OBC was on my cabin account when we sailed. Sounds like I got lucky?

Apparently since they give you that Instant Savings money which is similar amounts to the Shareholder Benefit OBC amounts, they figure you don't deserve the OBC also. That stinks! A Princess rep said that if you want to book a cruise you found in the Princess Picks website, call in and ask if it can be booked under a different promo code. You would have to do the math to see which is the better deal. FYI, I have used my Shareholder OBC to pay the auto gratuities.

You should have been thrown out at soon as possible. I cannot stand false and abnoxious commentaries. This recently renewded ship was spotless, smell less, stable at sea, good food, great efficient crew!...two weeks ago ! 15 to 22 dec 2024 med cruise I can only highly recommend MSC Fantasia. They are too nice if they allow you on one of their ship ever again.

You touch on so many things here . Truth in advertising for one. I hate when they say 40% off or free room upgrades. They are never 40% off nor free upgrades. I have booked many cruises and a sale is never a sale. Stock holders OBC is nice because I would never spend my own money for overpriced swag. We by cologne or a specialty dinner with our on credit. I think the cologne is overpriced but if I get it with my onboard credit then I’m OK with it specialty dinner. I don’t think they’re really that special and we have dining room food anyhow. So for Princess to take away something so trivial like onboard credit for someone that is a stockholder makes me think I could just sell it. I only paid eight dollars a share anyhow I know others paid more but I was lucky enough to get in when it was low now I can sell it and make a decent profit like you said you don’t get dividends anymore so I don’t see the point of keeping it. These are just my thoughts thanks for sharing your video. It was nice.

NCL has those same rules. I've never had a problem with NCL giving me OBC for shareholders. I had 12 cruises with NCL in the past 24 months and book interline rates usually. Kudos to NCL and bah humbug to Princess.

Just back from a mediteranian cruise on msc Fantasia. 15-22 dec 2024. I cannot believe the level of negative and grossly false facts you d'are sharing on this vid. Renewed recently, this classy Middleton size ship was spotless from day 1 and during the entire trip. The crew was outstanding with constant cleaning, helping, smiling. The information deck had at leastone person available nearly 24/24. The cabin wa clean and refreshed regularly. The hot water was hot, at all times.The restaurants had decent food, with many different choices too. The toilets were spotless. The only problem for me is some northern american lady.

This is exactly what happened to us. It seems like a bogus way for Princess to save money. Why did we buy the stock if we will never be able to use the credit? They are always having a sale of some sort. We already have two cruises booked and paid for, but after that, we will not be cruising with Princess or any Carnival Corp line again.

You're right, if everyone gets the $400 discount and no one gets OBC what's the benefit of owning shares?? The way cruise prices are listed there is always a special sale or promotion so literally they're never going to give OBC. We sail Holland America and if we run into this problem we'll sell our stock and take our profit, bought at $13 per share. If a lot of people start to unload their stock Carnival corp is not going to be happy.

I have used CCL stock credit 15 straight times. No issue at all. Booked through Princess, Costco and other travel agents, many on sale, still never an issue getting a credit. Do not think can use with veterans benefit which I do not qualify.

I've often wondered about this. I have one service dog Fritz and Maxine a pet dog. Although Maxine a Belgian Malinois is considered my pet dog is also task trained, according to ADA descriptions for a service dog, she qualifies as a service dog. Maxine intuitively some tasks for my chronic pain, she learned other task commands by virtue of being around SD Fritz. A guide dog is different than a service dog although both are "service" dogs as in they are utilitarian objects like a white cane for sight impaired, or for those of us with mobility issues a cane, crutches, walker or wheelchair. Usually, except for sterile surgical environments, swimming pools and hot tubs, a service dog is allowed everywhere an able-bodied person aka the general public is allowed. You may wish to study the ADA website. Service dogs cannot show any signs of aggression, etc., so I'm not sure why a service dog isn't allowed where kids are, especially if you're with your own kids or with family members with kids. Parents need to have better control over their kids regarding strange dogs as well as themselves as I've had grown adults without first asking permission swoop down and start cuddling Fritz my SD (who's in SD attire) without first saying one word to or even acknowledging me. Support animals are not held to the same exacting training standards a service dog must/should be trained to like the public access guidelines. Many service dogs are often owner trained, we are extremely (and I say that emphatically) proud of the training we've done with our service dogs, many SD teams compete for personal awards for obedience, etc. Also, as a dog trainer, my two dogs are both trained to SD public access standards, untrained dogs is a huge personal peeve of mine lol, go figure. It's that high standard of training that sets our service dogs apart from fake "service dogs" who are often badly trained leash/dog reactive family pets and can often put our service dogs at risk for injury or cause our SDs to be distracted for fear of another attack even if it's not a physical altercation, the emotional fallout for some SDs can be hard to overcome.

I have tried on 2 or 3 Princess cruises to get the stock perk, but have yet to succeed. In all cases, my application received no response at all. The best guess that I had for why I did not receive the benefit (other than just incompetence in working the application) was that I had other cruise credits applied and thought that you couldn't combine them. On the other hand, I sailed with Holland America on 2 cruises this year and received the stock perk on both.
