That's awesome 👌🏾. That one sounded like what I wanted to hear on a delay. There are others that would probably be perfect for a different scenario like on a piano, guitar, or pads, etc, but Pearl of Japan definitely sounds best on vocals I tried it on.

It's definitely not worth the additional hefty price tag just for that. But if you are mixing for clients, that 10% could be what you need to be ahead of the game as I mix for clients 💯. If you are only working on your own songs, then it's not worth investing in. They do offer 20% discount on black Fridays, usually in November, that's around the time I picked mine up couple with the fact that Curve Equator was not in the market at the time of my purchase 😎.

@@ZanyPro I did watch it from start to finish, after I saw/read the introduction of the plugin on the Waves Site, and I could directly conclude that the concept was not well understood/studied by you. The most important thing that one expects from a reviewer is that he knows what the subject of his review is about, and I'm sorry to say but you missed the point. You yourself demonstrated a wrong usage of this plugin, by making a curve of the mix bus of a piece of music and then reusing that curve on that same mix bus. This is also the reason why it only less bad, when it was used less and less (threshold at maximum height and the mix percentage at minimum, so more or less no processing!). This way of processing is used when one is very satisfied with the sound of one particular track and one wants to provide other tracks with a similar sound and feel. So one makes a curve of that particular track and uses that curve on other tracks!

@ward63 I'm glad to hear that you watched the video from start to finish. I do understand how the plugin operates. The learn functionality is for ducking similar to trackspacer, etc. I mostly focused on the main functions, which is resonance suppression. For the ducking, I planned making that video separate. On this occasion, I thought I should just see how it behaves without feeding the sidechain with any source. You are correct that it needs a source to determine where to apply ducking according to the manual. But with plugins, I try different things which we call happy accident at times 😎

The bias control affects the feedback, making it longer. It was added since some users on Gearspace thought that the maximum feedback time the plugin offered was originally too short.

@damosedafa124 This preset is only for Logic Pro X. But if you have all the plugins used on Audacity, you can easily copy the settings over as I opened each plugin to show what I did with it. My new video presets will be done using Waves Studiorack this way almost all DAWS will be compatible ✅️💯

@scarey2me If you didn't hear a difference that's fine, as the changes are subtle. It only means your ears is not tuned yet for top level mixing. You will probably only hear a difference when a big dip or boost occurs. As for the plugin, this is a FREE one.

@mattymenck I totally understand what you mean, but explaining all the features will prolong the video. Statistically, many people prefer short videos than a 20 to 30 minutes long review video. For the "Alive" button was a human error. Someone already pointed that out. Such things happen. As for me not knowing what all the buttons do, perhaps I don't, but you do know that all Acustica Audio plugins have a manual that you can read up, right?

@@ZanyPro Yes sir, I can read manuals, but I prefer to watch some practice videos instead. I expect just some things from a good review: Explanation of all functions and features, workflow and GUI, sound examples, comparison with similar plugins, quality and CPU load, Pro's and Cons at all. Mixbus TV, White Noise Studio, White Sea Studio and Panorama Mixing & Mastering are great UA-cam channels to get this covered. But of course everybody is doing different, so nothing wrong to go your own way. Cheers

@mattymenck You are correct. Some of those channels mentioned may get something for the review, so they are alright to go all in. Secondly, they have bigger followers, so statistically, they may work out good doing a prolonged video. Finally, everyone has a way of doing things. Some videos I explain everything, especially when it's something new. But on this occasion, most of those are not. All recent Acustica Audio Compressors have "attack hold" "release hold," and all their compressor have "SHMOD." It's only the "Alive" that I missed turning on on this, which was a human error. I hope you understand. Thanks nonetheless for pointing these out, and maybe on the next videos, I will try explaining them 💯🙌🏾✅️
