Are you able to deflect his attacks? If not, practice on that. You have to deflect a lot in the second phase. Memorize the moveset and try your best to totally deflect this one combo where he ends up doing a big overhead slam with the sword. If you're able to deflect that big slam, he will be stunned for a short while with his neck really close to wolf. At that moment, you're supposed to use the spear on him (any upgraded version works). Just press the prosthetic key to impale his neck with the spear, and once it's in, press the prosthetic key again. This will make wolf pull the spear back out and deal massive vitality and posture damage to the ape since there's a centipede inside the guardian ape that gets pulled out with the spear. Also, to avoid the screams that build up terror, you can either run away real quick or use the purple umbrella if you have it unlocked. You do realize that the yashariku sugar takes away half your health, right? And I made not a single mistake in the video. Of course, I can do it without buffs, I just use them for efficiency so I can at least get one deathblow under a minute. Plus, using these new mechanics actually slows the fight. It's not efficient, but flashy

not exactly. it's just this specific attack that gets you back to full health if you deflect it. i don't know why they made it like that

The opposite side of where the mini bosses are in that little room there is a thing on the wall that let's you shuffle the minibosses u see in that room

I agree. This is too unfair to the poor shinobi hunter and really doesn't make much sense. Healing with deathblows is maybe fine coz it's probably some sort of lifesteal, but healing from deflections is just wolf making fun of his enemies coz of his immortality

​@shura___ deathblow health has actual lore. Everyone would be dead from dragon rot if wolf "flexed" his curse. That's why Return is better than Purification. No one dies and the root of the problem is being addressed. When Rice Loli says they are going to the west she means Korea. As the dragon is the Korean dragon (lightning) THIS is why Isshin considers those arts "heretical" because they are. The Japanese dragon is a dragon of storms at sea. There is more focus on water. If Sekiro got a sequel it would be interesting to see (if the dragons switched places the game never states where the japanese dragon went. Only that it was driven out. Hence the Sakura tree's death) what the Japanese Dragon has done to Korea.

@Armed_Plumber I actually missed the deflection (kinda). There's two types of deflections in sekiro. One is perfect, and the other is, well, not perfect. The not perfect one does give you the benefits of a perfect deflection, which is damaging the enemies' posture and performing counter slashes, but it acts as a block and lets the chip damage through. That's what happened here. It was a half block and half deflection. I got to do the recoil counter but also got chip damaged

@kennyv.4306 what you saw in the video (the miniboss, that area, the recoil counter, and stuff) is a part of the resurrection mod. But what you read in my reply (about there being two kinds of deflections), that's in the base game as well as the mod

@jacksim5759 haha yeah. It's just that it kinda looks weird wielding a sword that way. Swords aren't heavier at their tips, unlike axes. But ig it's fine
