Actually the 2 are very different. For one thing, SITS isn't played how it's shown in this video. He's playing it similar, I mean it sounds a bit like the song. Kinda Sorta. But you don't play it using the open A chord. It's played on the 7th fret, 4th string and open A string. LG is played using the open A plus the riff on the 5th fret hybrid picking. When the intro ends, the chords do play C to D. SITS alternates between D to C, then C to D.

@@wayneknazek7362 I’m just about to pick up my axe and learn how to play La Grange, I just watched 5 u tube tutorials from some of utubes finest and they all use the A position at the second fret to start the intro and then move up the fretboard...I’ll go with that...thanks

@@sandynw185 Thanks for your comment. The original recording used a Fuzz box pedal. This video was more to show how to play it rather than how to achieve the amp sound. My amp was just using a slight distortion effect. Thanks so much for watching. Hope that helps

True enough a fuzz was used. But also, the main riff is not played like this video shows. The really gritty sound comes from the way the riff is really played. D string 7th fret and open A string, not open A chord. Then power chords play D to C and C to D, alternating. So you're playing 7th fret, 5th 3rd. Then 7th fret 3rd 5th. That sounds a LOT different than hammering away at an open A chord.
