I watched this more than 40 years ago when I was 9, and the movie scared me witless and all I remembered was that reveal with the red glowing eyes. Finally found it, with the help of ChatGPT - thanks so much for uploading i. The movie has held up well, and that scene brought back so much chills again.

Disturbing terror from director Steven Spielberg. A young couple move into a farmhouse with their two children and begin to suffer untold torment at the unseen hands of a demonic presence.
Johnny Whitaker (Stevie) born 1959 once struggled with drug addiction but is now a Certified Addiction Counselor and Advocate. Sadly, Anissa Jones (Buffy from Family Affair) passed away in 1976 at the age of 18 from a combined drug intoxication overdose.
Thought I saw this before but I'm not really sure. Anyway, it kept me on the edge of my seat. There have been other stories of this nature - supposedly true. It pays to ask around before buying a place out in the stix.
True story: When Darren McGavin was born he looked exactly like a 58 year old baby and then at age 5 looked like a 63 year the entirety of his acting career. 🤣😉
I like these old type of movies better than most of the stuff coming out now days. While the movies now days have stupendous special effects they lack human interest, good actors and tight story line. BTW: Steven Spielberg directed this.
Silly, but fun, MOTW. It was also great seeing Jody (Johnny Whittaker 😊) in this type of role. Just wish they wouldn't have given him so many unflattering camera angles, throughout the film. Thoroughly enjoyable film to watch on a 🌧️ 🌧️ 🌧️ day 😊
No more natural beauties. Now you don't know what you are looking at.... Botox, fillers, face lift, man, woman? This actress is so pretty with barely any make up. She was a natural beauty.

Best line in the movie. "Some houses, you can buy them but you can't own them."
The father is the guy that played Kolchak The Night Stalker. I thought this movie was actually an episode from the tv series.
1972 I was 9 WoW I'm old !
Blank it
Think..” Salem’S lot . Pure joy

LOVE Darren McGavin especially in the night stalker series, but I hated this movie! It's a real POS!
This totally is Poltergeist!!!
I was born 1972 ❤
Thank you for preserving this piece of Spielberg history.

Can’t watch unfortunately, very blurred focus😢
The silver haired guy at the beginning totally looks like the actor who played the Dad in Poltergeist!
Strange
I was born 02/1972 Seriously 😅😮
Thank you for sharing this movie it sure scared me , indeed 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Lord of all that's evil? Where will you settle down? How about a nice farmhouse in Pennsylvania. We got running water and a brand new outhouse!

39:04 the old man wearing the white jacket. He was also in the movie as the executive, staring Eddie Murphy “Trading Places.”
This was a time when you saw sandy Dennis in everything!
21:14 That's the guy who had a bit part in The Touch of Satan (1971)! He played the gas station guy.
Wow something evil watching it now love them old 70s tlims
The sound of the baby crying in the barn is horrifying.

I remember this movie. Good one. Another good one is Crowhaven Farm with Hope Lange.
