On September 15, 2007 medicine man Glenn Adeky and is son Howard breathed life into the Oso Vista Ranch Project by blessing the first traditional Hogan to be built for the Ramah Navajo community in 15 years.

    Being Half Dine' and Anglo I did not grow up in a Traditional house hold. I am not ashamed of my heritage but ashamed of myself for not knowing my Native tongue and more of my culture. Need to put more effort in to learning. A few weeks ago myself and my brother started the ground work, foundation for a Hogan on my property in Jamestown, NM. We have more than enough logs from the Navajo Nation. I hope to see this project through. Thanks for the enjoyable video.

    Rule number one when building sacred structures build them the sacred way. Sheathing the roof has turned this structure into an off gassing inhalation carcinogenic tomb.

    I lived part time on a dirt floor hogan w g parents. Some of the most beautiful memories i carry w me to this day as a man living n a metro city. I tear up at work w these special memories.

    Hogan’s Are not only used for ceremonies they are also a bargain way of living

    Gathering of Nations is a powwow. not a reservation. there are many Native people. I am full blood Native. There are many Natives and many full bloods too. Like me.

    yatehey shi ye bobby james yinsh my clan is Zia Peublo, im born for the sour water clan, my materal grand parents are adpoted mexican clan, and my paternal gandparents are the big water clan. Im orginaly from Manyfarms, Arizona My famliy names i Etsitty. im a 14 yaer old jewelry maker living in oklahoma at this time.
