That would be pretty sickkk! ;0 If you are interested in something like that, there is a game called Warno that looks pretty good. It is kind of like that steel division game that I played a while back but in the cold war gone hot. :) I was thinking about this when I was playing actually, but could you imagine playing this game but set in the Ukraine/Russian war, good god the drones and random artillery!

BTW, if you want suggestions for really talented total war streamers, Dishonoureddaiymyo, legendsoftotalwar, and volound are probably the best. Honestly, all three seem to have a godlike grasp of the game mechanics and then tactics and strategy also. Watching them is like watching masters of the craft! Honestly.

LOL. What is the time stamp for that if you don't mind. :) And yes it is really really good. Ground breaking, even. This game is a contributing factor as to why i am so harsh to modern games that fall short, because this is what we had 20 years ago (give or take).

@@NADGEN That time stamp is in my head from playing it so much and hearing that I was always like oh no, nooo no! 😂 I think there’s roughly 32 missions and each mission can only have 1 save spot. Spent hour’s pushing to get where I needed to be to save the game and if I saved to early it would be catastrophic. You’re correct about alot of games falling short to this classic masterpiece that paved the way for many games. Glad to see people still enjoying it, wish I still had a pc to play on because I’d definitely play this again. Also the OG Castle Crusader is an excellent grinding game with a big campaign. Still have the disk for that game. Have a good one my friend…. Papa bear delta one niner is out 🫡

I was talking to my buddy and actually he made me realise, it is not that modern gaming is bad. it is that modern gaming in the AAA sphere is bad, but the AA or indie sphere is where it is at. there are loads of passionate developers that are allowed to make great games working in the indie sphere... which, in a way... is where flashpoint began... There is a good documentary on youtube about the production of flashpoint and it is pretty good and informative. :)

You’re correct about the AA vs AAA titles 100%… been gaming since 82 & watched the industry grow and games get better but the past 3 to 5 years I have a hard time finding a game that I can jive with. I play a lot of War Thunder (about 9 years), No Man Sky & Ark atm… I appreciate the chat man, enjoy your UA-cam adventures and stay safe out there in this crazy world. Much respect to you. It is possible. i suspected it was dust on my mouse mat that was making make aim poor but now that you have said that i am thinking maybe there is mouse acceleration? ill have to check the settings

For sure!!! This game was definitely ahead its time. When games like call of duty 2 and medal of hour allied assault were the pinnacle of shooters this game took centre stage and if i remember correctly, it was released before them! (Both great games in their own rights btw.) This game set the stage for how future shooters would be and laid the groundwork for MilSims as a genre. Incidentally, that is why i am so critical of modern games, because i have played games like this (and of course Bioshock), and 20 plus years ago!!! So with modern games, what is the excuse! 🙃I remember when my dad explained to me that when i ran out of ammo i could pick up the enemies gun and could order my squad to do the same and then how he explain basic concepts like flanking. man good times. (once the mission starts, you can basically go anywhere on the map - which means you can set up really mental traps etc). Awesome!

I will check him out! Thanks. At this point I need all the inspiration I can get, this game really is crushingly difficult for me at the moment. Been watching a guy called volounds impossible battles series which gives me hope lol :) I suspect I know why so many people have been turning to Shogun 2 recently, I think with the new releases being so poor they are turning to a title that has the best reputation, maybe. Who knows.

@@NADGEN volound is friends with jaketheripper. Very similar style, maybe the latter plays a bit more risky side. But that makes it great to watch.
